Hello Thomas, Chemists convened on Monday, May 3, 2004 at 20:21 GMT +0700 to watch Thomas Fernandez synthesize: We're a philosophical bunch when there are no betas to dissect. ;-) ^^ I think you can omit this part and it would still be true. ;-) snip Z Although a leak as someone pointed out is something Z that *shouldn't* be in a released product. Re: Search in VF
You can do that with VFs, why not use one instead of search tool? That's exactly my point of the word decent. since this feature is already nicely implemented in VF, I would natually hope the same functionality (or even more powerful) to be done in search dialog. Otherwise it is very inconvinient to find a message. For example, in order to find a message with multiple conditions, i need to create a VF and set the conditions in the properties dialog; or leave a live VF as use for everyday search and keep modifying its properties every time i need. Both are not the right thing to do. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Re: TB! takes always the EML files
Hello NetVicious, A member of the Spanish TBUDL have reported TB! takes always the EML files even if you haven't associated TB! with EML files in the TB! Preferences. That may be because EML file type is still associated with TB (i.e. no other program has associated EML with it). Open Windows Explorer (not IE) and select Tools/Folder Options/File Types and scroll till you find EML, you will probably see it is still associated with TB. If you want (he wants) to change it, click on the Change button and select which program should be associated with EML files. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Re: Search in VF
GS What is wrong with [EMAIL PROTECTED]class for Search for and select subject and sender GS for scope? Because I don't know it was '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' I only know his name was 'John Doe' and the subject contained 'class'. The other point is that if i type john class in text box and check subject and sender, it is not exactly what i want, the condition might be wider or narrower than what i expect, as the program might try to match john in subject and class in sender. This defeats the purpose of using multiple conditions: accurate search. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

martes, 4 may 2004 at 00:21, it seems you wrote: Thanks but I don't really think that is the reason. I understand the difference between actual file size and disk space occupied. in my example, the size I observed from windows file property is 79,974, which is not even a even KB, and I'm sure it is size, not size on disk. Ok, so Confirmed!. I tested it and with a attachment of 5.673bytes i get on disk an a file of 5.675bytes. Are you using IMAP or POP3. Re: Search in VF
I agree with you the Search Tool can be improved but, since we have VFs now I assume it is not of high priority. I use a live VF for most of my searches now. alright, i agree it is a temporary solution so far. at least better than none :) BTW, can't you set Agent to wrap lines at 72 characters or so? It is not easy to read your messages. is it ok now? and this shows thebat's line wrapping needs to be improved :) -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

VA was a resource in that it could store large mail base, and I could use bookmarks to find/store important stuff. TB covers VA from and email perspective with VFs and more with the macro capability. I do wish you could do a mail merge from data from some type of tab or comma delimited file. You wouldn't have to jump through hoops to put the data temporarily in the AB. The benefit of VA for me was really the all in one and it threaded discussions pretty well. viernes, 30 abr 2004 at 07:32, it seems you wrote: my account setting is to keep attachment in message body (not a separate file). however i found the file size displayed in the mail sidebar never matches the actual size when the file is saved to disk. for example, i now have a file which shows as 79,921 bytes in thebat mail view sidebar, but when saved to disk, windows file properties window shows 79,974 i can reproduce this issue on all attachments. is this a known bug?
