I will support it, although what you describe _should_ be the default
and only option. Why make it optional? Think about it, would you
highlight any text before replying to a message if you wanted to quote
the full message?

Greg Strong may remember but that was the behaviour of Virtual Access,
our good old VA. If you replied to a message and there was text
highlighted that text would be quoted and, if there was no text
selected, then the whole message text would be quoted. And as far as I
can recall, no one ever complained about that behaviour.

Why then have so many keyboard shortcuts, shift clicks, Ctrl+Shift
clicks and whatever? All is needed is a 'Reply' and a 'Reply to All'
quoting selected text or quoting whole text if none is selected.

Reply to All button quoting selected text [was Re: The Bat! 3.62.13 (Beta) is now available]

Hello 9Val!

Confirm as fixed.

Would just like to note to all beta testers interested, the advice of
Stefan Tanurkov in regard to this fix in his BT note
( https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5149 ):

Begin copy-and-paste from STefan Tanurkov's BT note

OK, in 3.62.13, the Reply All button works as the Reply button (i.e.
Shift=quote selection, Ctrl=no qoutation) . But this would require
change in tbuser.def - mMsgReplyAll should be replaced by
mMsgReplyAllButton in toolbar definitions. Simple deletion of
TBUser.DEF would also help, but that may be undesirable. ;-)

End copy-and-paste from Stefan Tanurkov's BT note===

Many thanks to Stefan for this fix.

9Val, just to report, beta v. 3.62.13 is working perfectly for me in
normal usage, so far. So thanks to you and all the developers for the
excellent work.

It's good new for those who asked for this feature. In may case, aside
of TB lists and a few others I hardly use 'reply quoting selected text'.
Most of my email traffic I reply top posting and quoting whole message.
So, I hardly have a need neither on the lists or normal traffic to do a
'reply to all quoting selected text' and in those few cases, I didn't
mind doing a right click and selecting 'Message/Reply to All quoting
selected text' which, AFAIR, has always worked for me.

Does that mean that it remains as it is? I would be forced to use either
GPGshell or GPGrelay :-(

I am using GnuPG 1.4.3 btw

No, I'm not using it. But then, I don't do as many searches as you seems
to do. There are many days that I don't do a single search at all.

Also, many times the advantages or disadvantages of a program are quite
subjective and that is why I am suggesting that you try it and decide.

When I do a search, the words I search for are highlighted showing me
exactly where they are in the email at a glance. Might be a nice
little feature to add.

it's an "unofficial" version and it has its own quirks.

I can confirm this. I had never used that feature but I have just tried
