Your message, ... totally useless version for using IMAP is in accurate because it does work. Put the concern in the bug track or give a link to the specific existing bug track item. Otherwise, enough of the generalizations and blind shots! I for one, just want to get on with testing and applying the product. Jerry Okay, it may be overly unprecise my statement - but it got people talking / writing about IMAP once again - that is my goal. As long as Ritlabs does not official post a statement saying they give up on IMAP implementation on TB! then i will not give up on buging them (and maybe you) about it. IMAP is one of the most important (business related) protocols and now don´t start arguing that TB! is not meant for business clients! Why then would Ritlabs produce their own professional version or even a email server ? POP3 is still mainly used because casual users and non experts only know about it. If the broad public would actually know about the qualities and functions of IMAP they would probably all want to switch. Why otherwise would large companies that provide email services allow the usage of IMAP? I am tired of repeating and tired of having to list errors or report the same things over and over and over again. Check the bug tracker yourself and you will see alot of IMAP related bugs. Finally - useless - it is. What sense is there in using a client - or even wanting a customer to buy it - and having to tell them - but don´t use IMAP! Even though the package says it supports IMAP - just don´t use it. If you want to use it - well then make ready for errors, no working IMAP connections and so on how to fix it? welll Just close the application and restart it... now that is great advice! Will tell that my customers when they have a problem with a server or client OS - just restart the computer it will fix itself! I WANT A STATEMENT FROM RITLABS!! Finally tell this listing what is happening to IMAPs - if anything - give us a timeframe - a project plan - a milestone - anything !! I use IMAP and TB! on 7 Fastmail accounts and have not had any major issues with it. There are problems with the message counts on my laptop (but not PC), which constantly shows unread messages that don't exist or negative message counts, but the basic functionality appears to be OK. However, I have not tried any other IMAP mail clients other than Snappermail on my Palm Treo 650, so I don't really have any basis of comparison. I found that the big problem with IMAP in TB! is the poor documentation. As a newbie to IMAP, I found the instructions in TB unhelpful and I wonder whether this is part of the problem. A clear explanation of how IMAP should work in TB together with the options would go a long way to making the implementation of it more pleasant than it is now. Of course, IMHO, as a still relatively inexperienced IMAP user. So, dear RITguys, please hear the voice of the customer! /snip but for example our customers requested version without problem with DEP detection under Windows 2008 Server, version with fixed incorrect handling of MIME boundary, versions with fixed templates in filtering system, version with fixed quick templates in massmail, version with fixed dragdrop etc. And this is 4.2. Like this one introduced with the last beta cycle? https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=7549 And I think that most of the people want the mentioned above information in preposition and *not* afterwards on inquiry. Hi Marek! I do not want to be a nitpicker, but we should stick to the truth, shouldn’t we? ;-) this build called 4.2 was not planned in january and was released now as requested bugfix version with some additions and Postponed sending. This is the reason. As I'm working at a software company myself I know that from time to time you have to change plans. That is not was worries me, it is the lack of communication from Ritlabs itself.
