Hello,

 When I press the envelope with the question mark icon on the
 headers pane of TBBETA Mission Statement message, I can see nothing
 but the quickly losing focus window saying unknown signature
 format. I can switch to this window by moving The Bat's main window
 aside. Another side effect is FAIL - PGP Verified 8 KB pane
 showing up itself on the left side of the message. When I press the
 envelope button a few more times I get more and more lines of FAIL
 - PGP Verified 8 KB. The screenshot is attached.

 as I understand you expect taskbar icon to be animated. I am not sure
 if it is good idea. I haven't seen other icon except explorer
 (progress bar during copying) animated. For me animation of trayicon
 is enough. And in my case it is working as on older systems. I am on
 original Win7 RC 7100 from technet with TB! Prof 4.2.1.1 previously
 and 4.2.4 now . And see new mail arriving via animation of tray icon.
 Screenshot attached.

Task manager is animated too. It shows the processor load.

ok. my bad. after a remove/reinstall/reboot phase the key was accepted
successfully.
everything  seems  normal  (only the thebatbeta folder lost all of the
mails,  but  i  think a reindexing will solve this also. so it's not a
problem ticket :) )

Tbbeta,

Something new in the 4.2.4 installer trips over AltDesk when checking for space 
requirements.  The error message is 
error 1606, Could not access network location AltDesk Desktops\SharedDesktop
There is such a directory under Documents and Settings, but it has not been a 
problem for previous installers.

I wholeheartedly agree with Ethan, Rick and Jens. This list is not
meant for killing dead horses, but for fruitful discussions about
Beta! development. That's why I just downloaded a fresh copy of TB!
4.2.4 and tried to install it on my computer. Alas, for some unknown
reason the .msi package refused to install, so I had to manually
extract the exe file and copy it to the program directory.

I've already set up an IMAP account at my regular provider and now I'm
fully set-up  prepared for thorough  critical testing of this
feature in current and future Beta! versions.

I think I spotted a bug in TB! 4.2.4. When I tried to get Help on
changing View Modes (Options - Preferences - Message List - View
Modes Select View Mode - Edit) and clicked the Help button, I got
this: Missing context help topic 11026.

After re-examining the problem I came to the preliminary conclusion
that the probable cause of this bug is a not quite uptodate help file
(It says: What's new in version 3).

Perhaps it is a good idea for Ritlabs to rewrite the help file and
actualize it for version 4.x.x.x?
