If you had an old The Bat! version running in the background (like 8.8.9) and
run a new version like 9.0.0.13, the version that you run will just bring
upfront that version that was already running.

So, please do the following steps:
1) Check in the task manager that no thebat .exe processes are running;
2) right-click on thebat .exe after you have unpacked it and in the Windows
Explorer, of file properties window, select "Version" and "Digita" signature
tabs. So you should see the verion 9.0.0.13 and the digital singature timestamp
of 28 October 2019 for this version.

Did it help!?

Yes, confirmed now. Unfortunately, I had the wrong version running since
today, no idea what went wrong when I tried to unpact the today's archive.
I described it in the root of this thread.

Hello list, Martin and Gleason,

I'm utterly sorry, I have no idea how I managed to end up with an 8.8.9
version after seemingly having unpacked the last RAR downloaded from the
links above. Really no idea.

Still, that version reported as 8.8.9, so somehow an old binary must have
sneaked in :(

I don't know if it related to this. When I start a reply (like this
one) the menu and the standard toolbar in the Editor are blank
(actually white). When I hoover the mouse pointer over these two

This does not happen if I open the editor for a new message, only for

Seems to run just fine. Thank you!

+ No toolbar flickering for me twhen I move a message.

The ribbons are gone as it seems and the entire toolbar area is now white for
me...I bet there were some
background colors involved in my last (0.0.9) alpha.

+ The AntispamSniper toolbar now merges as a peer between the other toolbars.
Its appearance seems changed - when it's floating, it now shows the full

bar above it: https://paste.pics/73KPH

But all of therse seem to me like an effect of the changed gear behing the
