You could store my address in the addressbook of Gmail - then it isn't
treated as SPAM any more.

Google thinks everything coming from Yahoo is SPAM - nice ;-)

Hello Martin,

Don't worry about me. As I reported months ago, all your messages to
the list end up in my Gmail account Spam folder. The reason all your
messages are considered spam by Gmail are:

,- [ ]
| Although the sender address of this message belongs to yahoo.com, has
| not passed the authentication tests required by yahoo.com
`-

No idea of what these authentication tests are. But unless I log into
Gmail and manually mark each of your messages as 'No Spam', I will
never receive them in TB.

I just put .27 back in and a test message failed again. It is from ANY
account. This is repeatable with this alpha and definitely a show
stopper. As I go to close The Bat, the folder compression seems to
hang with a semi-blank window and I have to close the bat from the

I dunno if it has anything to do with XP or Vista, which I am running...

Something hiccuped in Zone alarm. It knew .26 was ok but not .27 and
had not prompted for an ok for .27. A reboot fixed it. It was so
bizarre as NOT to be obvious

Hi anderson,

I'm trying to try (!) The Bat! v1.44 but it doesn't send my
   mail. It says:

"Server reports error: The response is: Invalid domain name"

I purposefully changed my smtp server to an invalid name, the error
message TB reported was "Could not connect to the server", not
"Invalid domain name".

Judging from the error message, the error was given by your server.
I.e., your server refused to send your mail because of invalid
domain in maybe your From or To address.

of "Can't send mail !!!":

"Server reports error: The response is: Invalid domain name"

ML I purposefully changed my smtp server to an invalid name, the
ML error message TB reported was "Could not connect to the server",
ML not "Invalid domain name".

ML Judging from the error message, the error was given by your server.
ML I.e., your server refused to send your mail because of invalid
ML domain in maybe your From or To address.

.. or your Reply-To address. Your server is vetoing your outgoing mail
because of something like anti-relaying logic and the way you have
specified your "from" or "reply to" address in your account properties
is somehow having this effect.

Furthermore, looking at the headers of your message your server
actually uses this domain:

Received: from fdc.br.fdc.br by dutaint.com

Why should the domain name be repeated twice like this? While not
invalid it certainly looks mighty strange and may be related (and may
not be).

OTOH, The Bat does do one thing it shouldn't - it transmits a
Return-Path header. This hasn't caused errors with any server so far.
It isn't easy to see, from the headers in your messages, what server
software you are using in order for anyone to test your exact
circumstances.

Probably something TheBat! is adding to the message header is causing the problem.
As I said before, other e-mail clients work OK.
Also, when I use XRay mail filter (it filters mail after it leaves TheBat! and
before it gets sent to the server) everything is fine.

Furthermore, looking at the headers of your message your server

reply.

Is there any way to avoid this?

Hi, MingLi. Thanks for the message.
Well, other e-mail clients work fine with my ISP, so the problem lies between
TheBat! and my ISP.
Or, the way TheBat! handles e-mails when they are sent to the smtp server.
Mind you that when I filter the message sent (through mail filter software, like
