Re: VF trouble
Hello Charlene, In a virtual folder (only containing mails addressed to me or related to me) I select a mail from someone (in this case Rubeo) I like to take a closer look on the text in it and look down in the preview pane for detail. Strange thing is: a completely different mail is shown: sender, message ID and so on do not match with the message list at all. I can select another message, for example the next down the line and another one shows up and this one is just the same wrong way. It looks as if there was an overlay in the way that I see a folder and I am navigating through the one hidden by the overlay. I upped a screenshot at: http://www.xmail.net/charlene/weird.gif Unfortunately I can't reproduce that at will. I have seen this... Try to think how I got rid of it... Dear Den, @1-Jun-2004, 09:39 +0500 (01-Jun 05:39 UK time) Den V. Yafyasov [DVY] in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] said to The: DVY i cant view messages in VF. in standard folders all OK. It always starts with no message selected. This is because it is often re-filtered and refilled. Each folder view recalls its own current message. You aren't displaying the message list and so are unable to /see/ that you really do have /no/ message selected. Enable the message list, pick a message and all is well. However, when you double click a message in a VF from the main window, you kind-of expect to open the VF in a folder view with *that* message selected, so I understand where you're coming from. -- Cheers -- //.arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator TB! v2.11 RC/1 on Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 ' pgpla8npL3qH1.pgp Description: PGP signature Current beta is 2.11 Beta/RC1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Re: VF auto refresh problem
Hello Samson, 1. sometimes if i mark a msg (with flag, park or color group) in a VF, another irrelavent msg in the same folder is sometimes marked as well That happens to me every now and then with colour groups with normal (non virtual) folders. I'd say it is some kind of screen refresh problem because moving out and back into the folder cures the problem. 2. if the VF filter is one of the fast search options, auto refresh works well. whenever there is more/less msgs marked in inbox, the VF auto refreshes to recognize them. however, if the VF filter is something like sender contains @foo.com, the auto-refresh feature seems not working. you will have to refresh the VF manually. Confirmed. This happens most of the times, but not always. i kind of found some patterns though not 100% sure yet. let's say we have this: +- inbox | +- project | +- * customer * where inbox and project are real storage folders and *customer* is a VF that filters all msg in project with option sender contains @customer.com. now, if you manually dragdrop a mail (sender contains @customer.com) from inbox to project folder, the *customer* counter will NOT refresh automatically. however, if this movement is done by a filter (sorting office), it seems the counter is correctly refreshed automatically. -- Samson, using Agent newsreader Current beta is (none) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
