Rethreading doesn't function when treading on ref+sub

2005-12-19 Thread Roelof Otten
Hallo tbbeta,

  When threading on ref+sub I can't re-thread. (I only tried adding
  messages to a thread)
I've tried this with 3.62.14 and 3.63.14 and it doesn't work for
  either of them.
When threading on references only it's working just fine.

Any confirmations without POP3, OTFE an WinXP?

I'm using POP3 without OTFE on WinXP, but I can confirm that re-threading
only works when threading by Reference.

Rethreading ?

2005-09-20 Thread Robert van der Hulst
Guys, girls

A while ago a new feature was introduced that allows you to re-thread a
message by dragging it on top of another message in the Messagelist window.

This works great.

Is there a similar way that I can 'un-thread' a message. (Sometimes people
start a new thread by replying to an older thread). I haven't found it.

The only way that I can achieve this is by exporting the message and
removing the 'In reply to' and 'References' message headers, and then
reimporting the message. But that has the side effect that the 'Received'
date in TB is reset.

There is a way.
But you have to cheat to do it.

The way I do it, is by creating a new empty message.
Put it in the outbox.
Move it to the folder you want to rethread a message.
Rethread the message
Delete the empty message and your rethreaded message is root for the
new thread.

Of course you can do the same by copying a message to your rethreading
folder and deleting it afterwards, but I prefer a new message.

No, unfortunately designer forgot such function... but you can do it
manually: move message to other folder (and back) / or export|import given
message.

2005-06-01 Thread Roelof Otten
Hallo tbbeta,

Tony's messages can't be rethreaded easily over here. The
rethreading works only when you try to attach a message to another
thread, when you try try to rethread a message one level in the same
thread it won't work. Only way to do that is to drag it to another
thread and then drag it back. A bit bothersome.
