Old behavior [32bit]:

- Quick Search “sample” → [Enter] → Only mails containing “sample“ are
  displayed in message list.

- Quick Search cleared → [Enter] → *All* mails are displayed.

Now [32bit]:

- Quick Search “sample” → [Enter] → Only mails containing “sample“ are

- Quick Search cleared → [Enter] → Still only mails containing

If TB! does not support EWS any more, I will have to use another email
client for that, and it wouldn't make sense to use two. I don't like
EWS, but I have to use it for one important account.

IOW it would be a show-stopper.

Currently TB!'s EWS support is fine, it does everything I need. I
suppose it would be no work for you to just leave it in. OK?

If I want to return to showing *ALL* mails, I simply close the tab showing
the seach word "sample", by clicking on the x. Then I'm back.

I think it would be confusing when the tab says "sample" but actually does
not show a selection, but *ALL*

Certificate import disabled

2017-11-28 Thread Marck Pearlstone
Title: Certificate import disabled

Greetings Bat Fans,

Firstly - please excuse the HTML rule break - it is the only way to simply include a screen shot from the clipboard.

Secondly - please excuse the lack of PGP sig. I am still setting up the system and haven't got that far yet.

I just got a new laptop. Yay!! Happy days!

Then I came unstuck configuring TB to work on it.

My mail server uses a custom self-certified security certificate and it seems that the Unknown Certificate import is broken.

The 2 certificate control buttons are disabled. When this window was first shown, View Certificate was disabled. I clicked "Add to Trusted" at that time and perhaps, because of that, it has now disabled the Add to trusted option as well. Without viewing the certificate, I cannot import the root certificate.

So I am both seeking confirmation of a bug and looking for a workaround.

I hope i described it right.

A) Use Windows API for SSL certificates
   The Bat! Options → S/MIME and TLS…
   (•) Microsoft Crypto API
   OK
   Close The Bat!
   Start certmgr.msc
Import your self-signed certificate to "Treusted Root CA certificates"

or

B) Use The Bat! Adressbook for self-signed cert
   The Bat! Options → S/MIME and TLS…
(•) Internal Implementation (The Bat! Adressbook)
   OK
   Open Adress book
   View → Certificate Address Books
   Select Trusted Root CA
   Add a contact to addressbook
Set Name to your local domain
   Select tab Certificates
   Import your certifcate
   Confirm with OK

Now the certificate should work.

This subset worked perfectly! (I had already imported the root cert to
the windows certificate system). I didn't even have to restart.

Also - this one should be signed.

Can you say a little more about this decision?

Does this mean the Bat will not work with exchange account? Instead only with
IMAP and POP accounts?

A few words of clarity would be helpful.

OP uses TB HTML viewer, if the HTML part of the message is opened in
Opera Beta it shows correctly.

Since IE isn't supported by Microsoft anymore I won't use it as a
viewer even if it is only the rendering engine used. Actually I never
used IE.

8.0.14 has been released without the EWS DLL. I promise that this will
cause unhappy customers, and complaints all over. After I downloaded
the DLL, EWS worked as usual, I didn't even need to restart TB!.

So I wonder what purpose it serves to not include it.
