Not AFAIK. I don't run the host machines - they're in an ISP server
room somewhere in Scotland.

KR Can anyone tell me the purpose of each of these files, and tell me
KR which ones I need to copy to the new account?

Let me have a stab

KR ACCOUNT.CFG

Configuration data - default templates, cookies etc.

KR ACCOUNT.FLX

Folders

KR ACCOUNT.HIS

History data (for to, from, CC, BCC, search, etc.)

KR ACCOUNT.LOG

Log

KR ACCOUNT.M_D
KR ACCOUNT.M_R

I don't know what these are - they appear to be empty on my system.

KR ACCOUNT.PFX

S/MIME certificate data.

KR ACCOUNT.SCE

S/MIME certificate data.

KR ACCOUNT.SRX

Filters

KR ACCOUNT.VCF

Your account vCard VCF data.

There is also ACCOUNT.QTN which contains the quick templates. I don't
know if there's any account data in the registry ... but I don't think
there is.

AFAIK, TB! has no inherent functionality to strip HTML from the messages.

I personally use a local mail server, MDaemon, to do this. I've heard
mention of using an external application to process the mail upon receipt
before they reach the inbox by way of the filter action to run an external
application. I'm not sure if anyone has actually done or is presently
using such a method.

Open Sorting Office/Filters and create a new incoming filter.

Source: Inbox
Destination Folder: the folder you defined
Filtering String: @CNN.com Location: Sender Presence: Yes

That should do it.

Multiple AB's

2001-07-07 Thread Jack LaRosa

Hello Bats!,

The README for v1.53d mentions the ability to have multiple address
books. To wit: [+] Each account can have its personal default address book.

I can't find anything in the help file regarding this nor can I find
anything in the archives except some vague references to the
  multiple user features of Windoze.

I have only two accounts and successfully set up many versions ago, an
AB for each account. The only problem I had (still have) is that
favorites checked in *each* AB appear whenever the arrow next to
CREATE A NEW MESSAGE is pressed regardless of which account I
  happen to be in.

Am I wrong in assuming that with this new version I should not
  expect this to happen?

The actual string isn't particularly clear from what you say here. For

DK and Yes in Presence... source folder is Inbox, Move Message To has the
DK folder listed... but the messages don't get sorted into the new

Has the manual switch been inadvertently turned on? Are there any

Sometimes filters seem to get corrupted and, with such a simple

Re[2]: Filtering

2001-07-07 Thread Tim Musson

Hey A,

Saturday, July 07, 2001, 8:31:29 PM, my MUA believes you used
The Bat! (v1.53d) to write:

JN How do I set up a filter that puts all incoming mail from
JN @CNN.com to a specific folder?

TM Account \ Sorting Office/Filters (Shift+Ctrl+S)
TM Select New
TM Give your new filter a name
TM Use the Move message to folder button to chose which folder you want
TM it to go to.
TM put @CNN.com in the Strings box
TM ensure Recipient and Yes are set
ACM^
ACMSince he's filtering incoming mail from @CNN.com, this should
ACMbe 'sender' and not 'recipient'.

Oops, I was looking at a rule for a list...

Hello R

Those are someone's goofs. They should be #151; and #153; to
correspond to HTML's em dash and trademark symbol. Windows users can
also use alt+0151 and alt+0153 to create the same symbols.

Where can I get a list of these?

I wonder how come TBBETA is so quiet lately... Seems next
version of TB will have some improvements, big ones judging by

JP Where can I get a list of these?

You can make one yourself:

Open the TB Editor.
Type 0153 (without quotes).
Type a blank.
Hold down your alt-key and type the numbers 0-1-5-3 on your numpad.
Release the alt-key.

I did it years ago in Word (from alt-0030 to alt-0256) and saved the
file as ASCII Character Set.doc. The file has become an often-used
reference. I could send you a copy by PM, but be aware that some
characters above 0128 might be different on your machine.

Thomas.
