I suggest you set up Popfile to have:
   Subject Header Modification - off
   X-Text-Classification Header - on
   X-Popfile-Link Header - on

Then in TB! Preferences set up two new headers (Message List - Message
Headers):
(Display name) Popfile bucket, (RFC Name) X-Text-Classification
(Display name) Popfile link, (RFC Name) X-Popfile-Link

Then display both of these in the header area of the message. That way
you can see the Popfile bucket without it being in the header, and you
can double click on the Popfile link if you need to reclassify a message
in Popfile.

Hi Karin van den Berg,

You wrote:

acount in a subfolder, instead of the folder being bold with a 1
behind it, there is a *, which does indicate unread mail but does not
affect the animation, so I still don't know there's new mail. The
sound doesn't seem to work at all and if it did I'd still want to have
the animation working if, say, I was not at my desk when the mail
arrived and when I get back I could still see that there's new/unread
mail. This is properly supported in Mozilla Thunderbird. - all this
wouldn't be all that bad if the Mail Ticker settings (and other folder
settings for that matter) would be inherited by the subfolders. I use
folder for different email addresses, and subfolder for things such as
different customers. When I set an identity for the main folder, I
have to set them for each of the subfolders as well. Highly time
consuming. Same goes for the mail ticker setting. Can't there at least
be an option to select whether or not you want the settings to be
 applied to the subfolders?

Quite a few of your problems are familiar to me and IMAP has since come
a long way with TB!.

If someone from the Ritlabs team can give me some satisfactory answers
to these remarks, I'll probably upgrade to v3. Otherwise I'd seriously
 be considering switching to Thunderbird.

I cannot guarantee that your problems will be completely solved with
version 3. What you could do is to download and try a trial copy of
version 3. There have been quite a few fixes since. The current beta
series also includes sound notification support which was never there
previously.

It's really up to you and how much you wish to use TB! as opposed to how
much you wish not to use TB! because you're upset with Ritlabs.

Good luck.

There is a way using external programs,

Second way is using extended DIR command (console DOS command). For
 example: dir C:\_aff_\TheBat\Mail /AD /S /B c:\folders.txt

 here: C:\_aff_\TheBat\Mail - TB!'s mail directory /AD - only dirs /S

The command line is exactly what I need.

one. (See Below)

RA Then in TB! Preferences set up two new headers (Message List - Message

.eml is the same format as .msg, just the extension is different. Yes, it's
just Microsoft breaking compatibility with everything as usual.

If you save the *.msg attachment to disk, you can right-click and choose

To get OE to actually recognise it and open it when you click, you
have to associate the .msg extension with OE.

Both of these may be beyond the average OE user ;-)
