kav plugin?

2004-10-30 Thread daveiw
Hi all,

I use nod32 as my primary av program, but I also have kav pro version 4 for on
demand scanning. My question is; is there a kav plugin for TB! 3 and if so, where
would I get it please? I have tried googling to no avail...:-(

Hi Johnny,

I had the same problem briefly myself, all I did was go to preferencesplugins
and remove the bayesit entry THEN I went through preferencesplugins again but this
time selected 'add' and navigated to the new bayesit plugin, works here! ;-)

html email failure

2004-02-22 Thread daveiw
Hi all,

My problem is this; I am running the latest version of TB! 2 and I still can't
send html messages. Whenever I create a new message and choose either of the html
format options all is fine until I press send. Nothing happens, it isn't sent,
('sending' an e-mail to myself verifies this) nor does saving it for later as
subsequent send checks fail to send it. Now I don't use, nor intend to use html
often in my e-mail, but that does not mean that it should not be available, please can
you advise me on this matter?

TB! 1.60c quitting on its own!

Hi all,

If I try typing an address in the 'to' field after 1 letter a used
address is offered, but if I proceed to type a second letter the window
disappears and TB! closes! Is anyone else having this problem, and if so
is there any way around it?

Using TB! 1.60c (problem also existed in TB! 1.60)

DH It is connected to a new standard filter which will put all messages

DH BTW, there once was - I hope it still is - a comprehensive How to by

The problem I have encountered with the cut/paste or even *copy* is that
the contact moves from my address book to the new group - but this
defeats the point, or maybe I'm missing something. To elaborate, in
Outlok I can just create a new group and then add the contacts to the
group, *but* the contacts are still available in the personal address
book. In TB! however when I perform this the address is removed from the
PAB to the group (even if I only copy the contact).

psn If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the

psn Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman

psn You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles.

psn You talk about American technocracy, and you find
psn men on the moon -! not once, but several times -
psn and safely home again.

psn You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the

psn them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American
psn dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

psn When the railways of France, Germany and India
psn were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt
psn them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went
psn broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.

psn I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of
psn other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone
psn else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was
psn outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

psn Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one

psn Stand proud, America!

psn I Thank Them.

psn PJFSr.

I accept most of your points, but would like to add that Britain did
help out a little on 'some' of these issues, and we have *almost* always
(since 1918 at least) supported the US in military attacks as one of the
first countries to add the blood of our own soldiers to US causes (and
so open ourselves up as targets too), despite the fact that many other
European countries have not! I am very sorry for what happened in New
York, as is every other Briton that I have spoken to, please don't try
to suggest that suddenly the *whole* world is against the US as this is
simply not true. God forbid, if there is a war at the end of this, I'm
sure our soldiers will fight proudly alongside our US cousins.

Routing mail through MSX

2001-05-09 Thread daveiw

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi all,

This may be impossible to answer, but I shall ask anyway. My problem
is this; I wish to send emails from home to work using TB! at work I
have a MSX account in a very large company, in this company another
personsharesmynameandemailaddresslet's say
[EMAIL PROTECTED] To differentiate these similar addresses from
employees in different departments the email address has an 'alias'
attached. This then means that if I were to send an email address from
work to home Wilson, Dave I (alias) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(department) appears in the 'From' field. If I click 'Reply' the message
will be returned to the correct sender ie. me as expected, however if I
type in [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the 'To' field then the message
usually goes to the other Dave Wilson, and this is annoying.

At the moment I am making do with a blank message from my MSX
account in my inbox as a sort of template for replies, but surely there
is a better way to do this? If anyone has bothered to read this far, I
thank you for persevering with my attempted description of my plight,
but I would be forever in your debt if you could offer a workable
solution.

Many thanks in advance and apologies for the long drawn out letter,

AS Your email address immediately suggests to me that it's some quirk of
AS your ISP; when I was (briefly) a member of cwcom.net in 1999 all sorts
AS of strange things happened with email delivery (and many other
AS facilities).

Many thanks for your swift replies, especially Alastair. I have tried
another client (OE) as you suggested and found that it too received 1 of
those messages. This may suggest the ISP but I have never had this
problem before. Is it possible that I may have some sort of virus on my
PC (this seems unlikely as the messages are few and far between) that's
causing this? Apart from changing ISP - something I do not wish to do,
do you have any suggestions? Also in answer to Karin's question - I have
no attachments with the messages. :-)

TB! a missed opportunity?

2001-02-28 Thread daveiw

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi all,

I'm very new to TB! and I am very impressed with the program so far,
especially the Templates and Filters. I'm just about getting a handle on
the Templates Filters's now after much reading of this groups' posts
(and of course PGP-Basics) and some excellent support from many of their
loyal users. I particularly love the PGP integration in TB! something I
struggled with in my long standing installation of Eudora. ;)

I can't help but think though, that despite the many advantages TB!
has over the likes of Eudora, an opportunity is being missed. I believe
that this excellent program is being let down by its' documentation or
lack of it. It seems that TB! may never be the 'giant' it could and
should be until this problem is addressed. Many of my friends and
colleagues use Eudora, or dare I say it, Outlook Express! One of the
reasons for this is of course ease of use (generally) and the fact that
many of them don't have the time or the patience to go through the
gradual learning process to become somewhat proficient with TB! This may
mean that TB! may, unfortunately never become the mainstream mail client
that it deserves to be and this in my opinion at least,is a real shame.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts in the hopes that others would
comment on where they think TB! is going. :) I hope it's an eventual
case of the king (Eudora) is dead, long live the king (TB!)!

Best regards,

Dave Wilson.

Forcing PGP 7 to request signing

2001-02-26 Thread daveiw

Hi,

Is there any way to make TB! ask for a message to be signed with
PGP. I know that macros could do it in previous versions, but as of yet
there are no plugins (version 7.0.3). Is there any workaround for this
as I am quite forgetful?

Best Regards,

Dave Wilson.

Multiple recipients

2001-02-26 Thread daveiw

Hi all,

Please tell me, how do I insert multiple recipients into my "To:"
field- without using my address book? In other words what separates
them? :-)

Best Regards,

Dave Wilson.
