I'd not suggest folder templates... at least not for a list that sets
the reply-to field for you. You're bound to end up tripping over
yourself eventually. :)

Folder order.

2003-03-09 Thread steve
No thats exactly what I meant!! Thanks.

Hadn't even looked at the threading capabilities, so my apologies for
my schoolboy error!. I was using Outlook 2000 and am a member of
various groups, I just got used to replying to any old message and
changing the subject line to suit my needs. I promise I will be more
careful in the future.

The feature that really impresses me is the ability to move messages
after reading, I have set up a sub-folder under each main folder to
filter the read messages into, so much more organised now.
Particulary for the windows powerpro group, which can get really
swamped if you don't download every day!!

Thanks

Steve

Sure. Sort them and afterwards drag what's necessary back on top. You

Sort it first and then Alt-drag the folders to where you want them.

Hi Marck,

Thanks for your quick reply. Clicking on the "folder" column header
didn't work, at least not for the main accounts. Alt-dragging did the
trick though. Thanks again.

You can either sort them alphabetically by clicking on the "Folder"

That info has been cleverly hidden within the Help file under
"Folders" ... in short,

"To re-position a folder within the account’s hierarchy, press and
hold Alt key and then use drag-and-drop to move the desired folder."

You can arrange them alphabetically by clicking on the folder column
heading. Before it auto-arranges them, it will prompt you with a
warning that you "are about to change the folder order. Are you sure
you want to do that?".

BUT, this has the annoying habit of arranging ALL folders
alphabetically, including the Inbox, Outbox, and Sent Mail folder.
Personally, I like to keep those at the top of the list and there's no
apparent way to "park" them in place like you can with messages within a
folder.

Sure! At the top of the folder tree are the header tabs labelled
from left to right, 'Folder', 'New' and 'Total'. Depress the folder tab
with the mouse. A pop-up message message will appear. Hit the choice to
process the tree and it will be arranged in alphabetical order.
