Hallo Deborah, On Tue, 27 Jan 2004 11:47:29 +GMT (27-1-04, 12:47 +0100, where I live), you wrote: DW I seem to have lost thousands of emails - lots of folders which should DW have lots of messages in them are empty - all commmon folders as far DW as I can see. Help! Don't panic. Look in the matching directories for the size of the messages.tbb files, for an empty folder the .tbb is about 4 kB the matching .tbi is about 17kB. For folders with messages those files are bigger, depending on the number of messages. When the messages.* files indicate that your messages aren't dropped into the eternal mail bucket there's still hope. Close TB (don't let t purge 'n compress any folder) Copy the full directory tree with your message base to someplace safe Delete the messages.tbi file for one of the problem-folders. Start TB and see if that helped, if so do it for every folder, if not, ask for more help. ;-) -- Groetjes, Roelof Current version is 2.02.3 CE | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Deborah, I seem to have lost thousands of emails - I have seen you have replied to yourself :) and also Roelof has replied, so a solution seems to be underway. A couple of questions though: - Do you ever make a backup of your email (and other important data)? - What version of TB are you using? -- Best regards, Miguel A.
