Locked by mail sending task - nothing to send

2005-04-05 Thread Admin at AK
I have a number of emails - all auto generated as it happens - which are
sitting in their respective outboxes and not going anywhere.

If I click on 'Send All' it TB says 'Nothing to Send'.

I have deleted the entries in the Connection Centre.

If I click on the individual message(s) in their Outbox, TB says 'This message
is locked by the mail sending task'.

Anyone any idea why these seem to be frozen?

Close TB and reopen it. Then you can send the messages.

I had this problem yesterday. I believe it's an old bug.

Ah, I see. I was under the impression that the message was displayed when there

erratic, since there clearly was mail to send in at least one account.

Nothing to send?

2003-07-14 Thread Vishal
Hi,

TB never seems to know when there are really messages to send. Even when I have
4 messages lying in my outbox, it always pops up this window saying Nothing to
send. It usually ends up sending the messages anyway, but having the window pop
up for no reason is irritating. Has anyone else noticed this? It usually
happens when I choose 'Send and receive for all'.

thats because it is trying to send from an account that has nothing to
send. then it ends up in the account that has mail to send and sends
that account.

account 1 --- no outgoing mail
account 2 --- has mail to send

you press send and recive all. tb starts in account 1 but it has
nothing to send there, hence the message, moves onto the next account
and sends the outgoing.

Instead of using send and receive for all, try this:

- - Go into each accounts properties and under the 'Transport' settings
enable combined delivery (send + receive)

- - Now just use the check mail for all command. If there's message to
send in the Outbox, then they will be sent as well. You can setup a
system hot-key for the check command as well.

It happens to me too, since v1.59. I think it's been added to the
buglist, but there's no fix to it yet.

TF The Connection Center is being completely overhauled, and the bugs and
TF wishes are closely looked at.

I guess you're talking about the misterius version 2. But I think this
bug should be addressed now, with a bugfix version. They have done
other things in the 1.6x releases that seem much more complex than
this. And not everyone is willing to wait for v2, or pay for it when
it arrives.

Yes, and it is annoying... I think the problem is that the

in fact it is actually being sent. So when you think you've
