The only wheel setting is either None, 6 lines or Screen. I have it
set to screen so 1 scroll should scroll one screen wherever the focus
is. So, if I click in the message window it should scroll down one
complete .

That's why I've always been using Genius mice - their drivers scroll the
content under cursor, not in the focused control. They don't work with other
mice though (I've found that some manufacturer's drivers work with
competitor's mice, but that's not the case with Genius' drivers).

That, of course, is the logical way to do it. However, it doesn't
work in my current copy of TB, nor has it ever worked. And worse, I
have no idea why it shouldn't as I have no problems scrolling other
software.

Oh no, I love it this way. When my pointer is in the message list,
that frame gets scrolled, when I'm in the folder list, I scroll
through the accounts and folders. I would want an inactive window to
scroll. ;-)

TB! controls do accept wheel input when the pointer is located in the
control area. In other programs, wheel can be accepted only by the
active control and we've found it illogical especially when many mouse
drivers scroll inactive controls too...

At the office I use XP Pro SP1 and use TB with the scroll wheel. I was
so happy with it when using TB that I bought a scroll wheel mouse for
my home computer, using Win98. Also under Win98 TB reacts beautifully
to the scroll wheel.

Q: Rodent wheels

2004-01-17 Thread malexander
Hi

Is it just me or does TB not accept wheel input? When I'm scrolling
through a message I have to use the vertical bar instead of the mouse
wheel.

This is on XP Pro SP1 with a Logitech cordless trackball using TB
version 2.01.3.
