Sorry it took so long to reply M. I guess the holidays (and
my senility) caused me to forget all about this problem.

I took your suggestions and all is well now. I can search
in that folder now and actually find what I was looking for.

Many thanks and a Happy New Year to you.

Search not working

2010-12-28 Thread Jack S. LaRosa
Hail Fellow Bats!,

I've just discovered a problem with my SEARCH function.
Namely, it refuses to find anything in one particular
folder.

I have a folder called Family with several daughter
folders for each family member. I can successfully search
any family member folder except one. No matter what I put
in TOOLS-SEARCH-(ANY PART)-CONTAINS-string, it never finds
anything and always returns the message: Search Finished.
Found 0 Messages at the bottom of the screen. The SEARCH
function works fine in any other folder in the account.

I'm stumped.

Did you try copying all the messages from the problem folder to a new
folder and seeing if it works there?

As You can probably see, the time stamp indicates it's
pretty late here so this will have to wait till morning but
I appreciate the reply.
