I went back and opened the executable with WinRAR to check the executable size and date. It was different than the one in my TB folder. So, I extracted the thebat.exe by itself and got the error that thebat was already running (I checked task manager, and it did indeed show TB as running). No, it turned out that even though I closed TB and it disappeared from the systray, it was still running (Task Manager). The installer didn't give me an error saying that TB was running for some reason. After I killed it off in Task Manager, I extracted just the executable, and it worked fine, then I closed TB and ran the installer and it installed everything fine this time. It was probably just weirdness on my machine as I have been using Standby on the laptop for the previous week. It probably just needs a nice fresh reboot!
