Oh, that's just an English dialectsort of borrowed it! My wife was
brought up outside of London, and they all tend to drop the H from many of
their words when they speak. It's quite infectious actually, well it is when
you are chewing gum or having a funny turn. So 'happy' would sound as
'appee. And 'having' would sound as 'avvin, etc.

Being brought up at the foot of the UK I sound completely different to 'er
indoors. But some of her quirkiness has rubbed off on me, and I more often
than not drop the H from hello when I say it. So now I sound as common as
much as well.

There. Bet you wish you hadn't asked LOL

It became slightly redundant when Leif found the time to sort it out.

Jens contacted me offlist and said:

JF I would have enjoyed it much more, if you would have talked some
JF words to us, what happened to pcwize.com.

I'm waiting to hear from Leif. Last I heard (and we're only talking a
month ago here), he'd patched up the gallery interface and it was all
working fine:

I found some time this morning to work on the rogues system. Would a
few of you be kind enough to log into http://pcwize.com/thebat to
see if you experience the login hanging issue anymore.

It was all good to go for a long while yet. He said nothing about the
domain expiring. I have emailed him on that thread asking him what's
up.

Emailed Leif a number of times, but never got a reply.

You got further than I ever did then. The page always stalled when I tried

I was trying to get my picture uploaded to the Rogues

successful (after resizing it numerous times), but now
I'm not sure if it ever got there. I received no
confirmation that it had been accepted.

When I uploaded mine in November 2004 I had four rejected before one
was accepted. The rejection and acceptance emails arrived a few days
after uploading in each case.

If yours has been received it is not yet in the rogues.zip file: I
just dowmloaded it and looked - the newest one was updated in April.
They are so infrequent now that I doubt Leif looks that often. Before
April 2009, the previous updates were January 2009, August 2008,
December 2007, November 2006, June 2006. More frequent before that and
82 of the 144 were uploaded between mid-June 2004 and Mid-August 2004.

BTW, was I supposed to have named the photo file with
my handle (:Deuxdad:)? 'Cause I neglected to do that.

I think you are supposed to but my handle is :MFPA: and the image I
uploaded as MFPA.jpg got renamed to MFPA_.jpg, so I guess it can't
matter much if the name needs altering. (-;

I also see the URL http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/getrogue.php?id=:mfpa:
is not currently displaying my image but instead the text, URL:
http://www.pcwize.com/thebat/smileys/rogues/MFPA_.jpg Type: rogue. It
is shown as text, not a clickable link but copy and paste into the
address bar and it does show my photo.
