Re: [Therion] same color for several scraps

2017-04-24 Thread Markus Boldt via Therion
Hi Phil,
I think, you must specify -colour map-fg [0 70 0] (for scraps and "map-bg" for
the "paper"). As it is done in the loop Layout - endlayout of the config-file.
But I`am not sure

Hi guys,

I’m trying the option [color] or [colour] to specify the same color for
different scraps and it is not working. I have therion 5.4.0 compiled on Mac OS.

Here what I use :

 map m1p -projection plan -color [0 70 0]

   baign-p1
   baign-p2
   pend-p1
   gphal-p2
   gphal-p4
   gphal-p3
 endmap

end the error message is :
therion: error -- maplist.th [3] -- unknown option -- -color

Any clue ?

Thanks,
Phil

Markus, instead of going to the trouble of creating complex code to include
this fill symbol in a legend box, why don't you just add a label to your
map. It seems you are making it too complicated for something which will not
occur often.

Is he on the list? Or where can I get a Copy of the used config-file for that

Hi Markus

Yes, but with limitations.

If you export map -f pdf, then you can indirectly influence the page size by
adjusting the scale and where you place the header. Not as precise as you
are wanting.

If you export atlas -f pdf, then you can precisely specify the page size, as
you have been attempting. The cave is then distributed across as many pages
as is required. Disadvantages are that you cannot place headers and other
objects on the pages.

Have a look https://therion.speleo.sk/wiki/bds where there is some
information.

"A map output (not to be confused with a map object) is contained on a
single 'page' and the size of the page is automatically made big enough to
fit the cave by the software. A number of formats are supported but pdf
seems to be the most comprehensive. Pdf maps can include graphics such as
photos, logos, other pdf files or previously created cave maps.

An atlas output cuts the cave up to fit a user defined 'paper size' and adds
a navigation pane. Hyperlinks in the navigation pane and at the page edges
facilitate rapid navigation. If multiple maps are selected in the thconfig
file, then chapters are automatically created separating the maps. These may
be different caves or different levels in the cave - with hyperlinks to
navigate between different levels. Only pdf format is supported. Inserted
graphic images are NOT supported."

Also https://therion.speleo.sk/wiki/templates#atlas_specific which contains
some useful atlas paper size layouts.

Dear Martin,

heartily thank you!

Now I have for the first what I need. J

Will that problem in therion fixed in one of the next updates?

And now the answer on your second mail:

Ok, so it looks like it is/was a selfmade problem not a problem coming from
Therion with the drawing of "my" areas.

But I don`t understand the problem anyway. Because I give Therion some data
in the th-file and the drawing in the th2-file.

There are one fixed point (1.0) and to legs to wb1.1 and wb1.2. The other
fixed points (GPS.) are only fixed points. Now, when I draw the point wb1.1
as a corner from an area and the same with point wb1.2. I would think that
it is now a simple compiling for Therion. But it looks like it is not. And
that`s what I don`t understand.

Changing text in legend should work with (in your config file):

Text en „line handrail“ „text you want“

„En“ is depending on your choice of language. May be you are using „de“!?

Cheers,

Torsten

Hi Martin,

looks like a good Idea. But if I change Symbol set to SKBB I get:

for handrail L.

I have in my config-file:

symbol-set UIS

symbol-assign line handrail SKBB

If I comment the second line out and do the first line to SKBB I get the same
result.

And the next thing is: I get in the legend the word “Handrail” (Gelaender) but
it is in reality a “hauling track” (Transportbahn). Where or how can I change
the text in the legend for example?

[Therion] Color for area blocks?

Hi,

is there a possibility to give an "area blocks" another color as the

[Therion] once more area blocks

2017-12-29 Thread Markus Boldt via Therion
Yes, I have found the possibility (symbol-color area blocks [xx xx xx]), but
it affected only to the blocks. What I want to have is a completely other
colored area with blocks in it. So in this area must be a change to the
background-color, I guess. But how?

if I do a look on your file with an simple editor (Windows), then it looks very

Hi,

I trying to work in a topo I make recently. One of the sketches got way bigger
than it should and is presenting errors like:

can't read "xth(me,cmds,5,18,x)": no such element in array

I already reduced the file to something really small and I still get these
errors most of the times I try to open it.

Any ideas on what could be the cause?

I send attached both a small version of the sketch that presents the error and
the complete log of the error.

Re: [Therion] Fix station point using only 2D

Hi Adam, "normally" you have coordinates of your radio location point at the
surface from GPS. You know, I do so. What a kind of coordinates you have? Give
them simply a thought depth for example.
Best regards to Poland and greetings to Agnieska :-).

Betreff: [Therion] Fix station point using only 2D

Hi all,

How to 'fix' the survey station point (to morph the cave plan) having
only 2D coordinates?

Using the radiolocation we get (with quite good accuracy) the station
point position which is about 150m beyond the estimated location we
get from surveying. So now I wanted to use this position to make a
correction to the main polygon. But the 'fix' command need a 3D coords
so how should I do that (no, there is no point to measure the depth by
radiolocation by some reasons).

Thanks in an advice,
Adam

[Therion] extention at the rear of the Distox

2018-08-28 Thread Markus Boldt via Therion
Hi,

Evaristo and Martin have showed extentions for the Distox. It is a very good
Idea. But what is with the so extended length of the distance? Must I change
all measurings by hand in the list of Pockettopo or Topodroid or is there a
possibility to "say" that to the distox by default?

Thanks for the answers.

Markus

You might find the attached quick reference sheet helpful.

Regarding adjustment of measurements in Therion, if you happen to have
uncorrected disto measurements, you can use the calibrate statement to amend
all measurements in a particular survey with a single short line.

calibrate [] ▷ set the instrument
calibration. The measured value is calculated using the following formula:
measured value = (read value - zero error) × scale. The supported quantities
are the same as sd. ie length, tape, bearing, compass, gradient, clino,
counter, depth, x, y, z, position, easting, dx, northing, dy, altitude, dz

Device Information

The FUNC key can be used to show a sequence of information screens. FUNC key in
idle

mode shows the first screen. FUNC again navigates from one screen to the next.
Use the

SMART key to return to the previous screen.

Screen 4: Endpiece Offset

Shows the actual endpiece offset in mm (-128 - 127).

To change the level first press the PLUS and MINUS keys for 2 seconds to allow
editing.

Then press the PLUS or MINUS key to change the value.

Changing the offset is useful for self-made endpieces or other cases where a
non-standard

reference is used.

Hi Wookey,
I guess, this "problem" is better lifted to the topodroid-list or rather
directly to Marco. Because to change the resolution of lines is better made
before exporting to therion. Of course it`s my opinion.

OK, thanks, that's good to know. I'll pass it on to the user in question
(who may or may not have got round to joining this list already).

But if someone has done a survey like that (or maybe a whole
expeditions-worth) then they would still like a reasonably easy way to
convert it/them back to manageable lines. So I think the original question
still stands: can we have a way to select more than one line at a time for
such processing in xtherion. Or perhaps decide that the 'fine' setting in
topodroid is no practical use, or should at least be advised against. What
is the default setting for line segment density?
