[tw] Re: linked check boxes two seperate tiddlers.
Some years later. I'm searching for the exact same thing... In the ProjectOverview tidder I have a link to ProjectDetail1 where I have checkboxes for every Detail1.1 Detail1.2 etc. Structure: *ProjectOverview **ProjectDetail1 ***Detail1.1 ***Detail1.2 ... The functionality I'm searching for is simply: When Detail1.1 and Detail1.2 is finished, I check both of them and then the checkbox infront of ProjectDetail1 in ProjectOverview is also checked. Logical functionality: if Detail1.1 = [X] and Detail1.2 = [X] and ... then ProjectDetail1 = [X] else ProjectDetail1 = [_] or implemented any other way, of course it would be nice if I wouldn't have to add and [X=Detail1.x] for every new Detail I come up with. Thinking out loud, would inverting the logic or making some sort of temporary memory work... Yes! [tw] TWC - TW not saving \
Hi All Hope someone can help with a strange problem that I am encounting. I make a lot of use of flat text files to store information, loading this into a TW (via XMLHttpRequest()) ...in the processing of this data I frequently look to line breaks in the txt file, using simple javascript like text.split(\n). and this worked fine for many months. Recently things started failing, and when I checked the code had changed to .split(n)...I corrected the code.everything works fine...untill I reload the page and again the \ is missing - note that the correction was saved back tot he TW using UploadPlugin and UploadTiddlerPlugin. Why does the \ character keep disappearing? I have downloaded the file, corrected it with Note+++ and uplaoded again.it all works well, until I open that tiddler in edit, and then restore (done)the \ gets dropped again!!! To make things worse... recently a functioning TW started failing and on opening saying that some plugins failed... for example on checking a recent case. Erics InlineJavascriptPlugin...reported as having failed...when I checked it.. the line (early in the code) match: \\script, ...was reading in my TW match: \script,... note that again a \ has disappeared I put the extra \ back into the code, saved via UploadPluginand on reopening the TW the plugin failed because the second \ is again missing. So, what up with the character \. why is it being deleted when I save the TW? Thanks in Advance Skye -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: TW5 on IOS via TWEdit
Discovery, somewhat embarrassing: there is no problem with TWEdit, it's just that to get from my node.js TW5 to a regular TW5, I wrongly used the Download all tiddlers as static HTML button under the Control Panel. And what I got, not surprisingly, was all tiddlers as a static i.e. non-editable HTML file. This made me realize that I didn't know how to generate an ordinary TW5 from the node.js version. I found the answer on another thread: created: 2013112422060 modified: 2014002136779 tags: howto title: How to build a TiddlyWiki5 from individual tiddlers type: text/vnd.tiddlywiki First install TiddlyWiki as described in [[Installing TiddlyWiki on Node.js]]. # Create an empty [[TiddlyWikiFolder|TiddlyWikiFolders]] ## Create a new folder in a convenient place (for example `~/MyWiki`) ## Create a file called `tiddlywiki.info` containing the following text: ##* `{themes: [tiddlywiki/vanilla,tiddlywiki/snowwhite]}` ## Create a subfolder called `tiddlers` ##* Alternatively, just copy the `editions/empty` folder from the TiddlyWiki5 repo # Create individual TiddlerFiles in the `~/MyWiki/tiddlers` directory # Execute the following command from the TiddlyWiki5 root directory to build a TiddlyWiki5 file from the tiddlers: ## `tiddlywiki ~/MyWiki --rendertiddler $:/core/save/all index.html text/plain` Haven't tried it yet, but I will. Re: [tw] Re: TW5 on IOS via TWEdit
Hi Andrew, A download button to retrieve a snapshot of a server instance actually exists, although it does not overload the regular download button, as one might expect. It is hidden in the server tab that is created in the ControlPanel when running the node.js version. By the way, it may be worth noting that while the html file you get with the normal download button is not directly usable, you still can drag and drop it on a running wiki in order to retrieve saved tiddlers. I was glad I could do that after my server got stuck and no sync was possible.
