I want to echo others' sentiments here that the search / create function is
a really handy feature.

Having the sidebar be a hover when the tiddlers are expanded is super nice
too.

I do agree it would be nice if you or someone would tease out the search /
function as a plugin and host it at a specific location so I can link to it
from the TiddlyWiki toolmap.

Congrats, and blessings,

The search operator can be refined by field name. So I assume that the most
optimized filters for your queries would work like:

  [search:title[foo]search:text[catdog]]

and

+[search:text[catdog]search:text[spongebob]]

[tw5] Re: New plugin: Asciidoctor for TiddlyWiki

2018-09-01 Thread 'Mark S.' via TiddlyWiki
I doubt most users of TW are using node.js Even those that are may not know
how to set up plugins -- the documentation for that isn't on the user page
at TiddlyWiki.com.

For ease of installation and assessment, the quickest way would be to
export the plugin and post it here. After that, it would be good to have a
full generated tiddlywiki page, either on gitlab or some other site, so the
plugin could be dragged and dropped into another TW without the need for a
node configuration.

Yes, currently there is no real central authority or distribution for TW
plugins, tips and other artifacts.

[tw5] Search Bodies of Tiddlers Narrowed by Titles

2018-09-01 Thread h0p3
I need to search the bodies of tiddlers narrowed by their titles.

For examples:

   - Search for ["catdog"] in the bodies of any tiddlers with ["foo"] in
   their titles.
   - Search for ["catdog" *and* "spongebob"] in the bodies of any tiddlers
with ["foo" *or* "bar"] in their titles.

What are good ways to do searches like these?

Me too, I often start by a search before adding new content.
So I open this ticket https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/issues/1801
and Pmario did this plugin :
https://wikilabs.github.io/editions/new-tiddler-from-search/

But your solution is simple and I like the minimal presentation and save
