I ran RAT on this archive and found a few problems with missing
headers. I've committed updated files (r476842).

Are you able to redo the downloads or should I?

Couple of things on the binary distro

We need to update the NOTICE file to include the EPL now that we are
redistributing the EMF jars.

I'd also suggest adding to each section in the NOTICE which jars the
notice and license apply to.

Hi,

The source archives are created by an ant script which exports the source

Is there any way to handle this?

Per filtering, I think this in regard to binary generation, and copying of those
files in to the jars. But I don't know how or if that applies to the source disto.

May I ask why the need for the ${pom.name} in the NOTICE?

Re: Please review of the Tuscany SCA Java M2 release candidate

2006-11-15 Thread Rick

In the SCA source distro I don't think sca\distribution\build.xml is up todate.

I don't know how others feel but I think should have some standard root
directory unpacking scheme like tuscany/distro-name

ex for source:
tuscany/tuscany-sca-1.0-incubator-M2-src/samples
tuscany/tuscany-sca-1.0-incubator-M2-src/src
Maybe the toplevel tusany is not necessary?

I also see that tuscany-sca-1.0-incubator-M2-sample-src distro is really just
tuscany-sca-1.0-incubator-M2-src what's under samples. Can we just claim the
tuscany-sca-1.0-incubator-M2-src is the runtime source and the other is the
sample source and save a few bytes in the source distro?

Thanks Dan for your help at looking at this. IMO this caught us by surprise and
given it takes all the samples to build not too much longer than doing one
individually, I would for THIS release just say that's the way to go.

I don't see any hit in functionality. Or, a real diminished user experience.
Now that we know more we can readdress in future release or maybe we won't need
to if that defect you pointed to is fixed.

Throughts?

But, the How to download, build, and run a sample application with

Hi, David.

Thank you for the review.

It seems that the binary distro is messed up. The SNAPSHOT jars packaged in
the standalone distro had file names with timestamp instead of SNAPSHOT. It
is probably a result of the mvn clean install directly under the
distribution module instead of building from the top.

Anyway, I'll update them in a few minutes.
