Thanks Dan for your help at looking at this. IMO this caught us by surprise and given it takes all the samples to build not too much longer than doing one individually, I would for THIS release just say that's the way to go.
I don't see any hit in functionality. Or, a real diminished user experience.
Now that we know more we can readdress in future release or maybe we won't need to if that defect you pointed to is fixed.
Throughts?

Just FYI...

Worked with Rick a bit this morning. It looks like this is a manifestation of bug:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-2318

Everyone should go and vote for it.

Building in the individual samples only starts working after from the
top pom directory (parent) you do an "mvn install" so the samples'
parent pom is in the local repo. But of course this builds all and
installs all as opposed to using the default we set to "package" and at
that point there is no need to go and build an individual sample.

Starting with no local repo, going to the iindividual sample
directory and building seems to fail because the sample parent pom is
not found. If I go to the root of the sample directory and build, ALL
the samples do build.

Hi,

I have refreshed the distros for our M2 release candidate at
http://people.apache.org/~rfeng/tuscany/incubator-M2/downloads/. It
contains the following update:

1) Move to axis2 1.1 release as well as the corresponding axiom,
XmlSchema and other dependencies.
2) Add two additional source distros for SCA and CommonJ specs

I have also uploaded the latest SNAPSHOT versions of M2 artifacts to
http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository.

Please review the contents before we tag the branch and submit it
for PPMC vote. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Raymond
