আমি আমার লিনাক্সে একটি উদ্ভট সমস্যায় পড়েছি। আমার সিস্টেম টাইম আমি
লিনাক্সে সেট করে দিলে উইন্ডোজের ৬ ঘন্টা এগিয়ে যায়, আর উইন্ডোজে সেট করে
দিলে লিনাক্সে ৬ ঘন্টা পিছিয়ে যায়। আমি বায়োস থেকে টাইম ঠিক করেছি, কিন্তু
একই সাথে লিনাক্স আর উইন্ডোজের টাইম ঠিক থাকে না। 

এর সমাধান কি? জানালে খুশি হব।

[Ubuntu-BD] Important: Ubuntu trademark violation

Hello everyone,

I want to share something very important with you all.

I received a phone call from an ex-colleague's friend that:

1) A guy named Turjo Islam is calling himself the "chairman" of
"Ubuntu" in Bangladesh, pointing people to ubuntu.com as a reference
of how large the Ubuntu "company" is.
2) He said he has got WiMAX license and will be deploying it in Chittagong
3) He has grabbed money from a lot people as service change to setup
"Ubuntu ICT Centers" all around Chittagong
4) As I was told, he has ran away with the money and people are now
looking for him to give him a good bashing (গনধোলাই)

Here's the photographic evidence that I was provided:

I found the fraudster on LinkedIn this morning, and asked him why they
using the name "Ubuntu Bangladesh Ltd" as well as the trademarked
logo, and waiting for him to reply.

I'm definitely going to contact the legal department of Canonical, but
before that I want to know from our friends in Chittagong if they have
heard anything about them or not.  This is a serious allegation and we
must take some action.

Hoping to hear from you guys on this issue.

Not only Ubuntu TradeMark Infringement, as far as I can recall (correct me
if I wrong) Bangladesh Company Act, 1994 has some rule that without
registering as a Limited Liability Company (Private or Public) no one can
you the words like; 'Ltd.', 'Limited' or 'সীমিতদায়'. So, I guess, he / they
are violating the local laws too.

I was flicking through the Photo Albums of that Facebook page. And found
most of them are manipulated which is very to recognize. Like, Logo on the
car and PVC banner on the Fair stall etc.

We are gonna dive in and dig it out.

নির্ঝর

ভাই সমস্যাটা লিনাক্সের কিংবা বায়োসের না। লিনাক্সের লোকাল টাইম এনাবল করা
মাত্র tzdata প্যাকেজটার দ্বায়িত্ব বর্তায় সিস্টেমের সময় বা বায়োস ক্লক কে
গ্রীনিচ মান সময়ে সেট করা। সেটা করার পর লোকাল টাইম হিসেবে যোগ বিয়োগ করে নিয়ে
তারপর সে ঘড়িতে তথ্য দেখায়।
"জানালা"তে সেটা হয় না ফলে বায়োসে যে সময় সেট করা থাকে সেটাই সে দেখায় এবং ছয়
ঘন্টা আগের গ্রীনিচ মান সময়ই তুমি দেখো। যদি এই সময় ব্যবস্থাকে চালু করতে চাও
তো "অটোমেটিক ইন্টারনেট টাইম সিন্ক্রোনাইজেশান" টাইপের কিছু একটা ক্লক
প্রপার্টিতে পেতে পারো। আশা করি সমাধান হবে।

আপনি ব্রডব্যান্ড মোবাইল ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করতে পারছেন জেনে ভালো লাগলো।

পাবলিশার ডকুমেন্ট পরীক্ষা করে দেখার কোন ব্যবস্থা আমার পিসিগুলোয় নেই । কেননা
"জানালা" ব্যবহার করি না। দেখি অন্য কারো পিসি তে পেলে পরীক্ষা করে দেখবোখন।
ভিএলসি আর এসএম প্লেয়ারের যে কোনটিই খুব ভালো কোডেক সাপোর্টসহ পাবেন। দুটোর
মানই খুব ভালো।
তবে এসএম প্লেয়ারটি দিয়ে ভিসিডি চালাতে কোন সমস্যা হয়না যেটা ভিএলসি তে মাঝে
মধ্যে হতে পারে।

The Facebook page is not the problem, in fact it'll help us to prove
the misdeeds of the fraudsters.

What I'm particularly concerned about is the allegation that he
grabbed money from people by using visiting card/pad/print publication
with the Ubuntu logo and Ubuntu's name itself, so if things turn
really ugly then people who got cheated will point their finger at us.

সবাই আমার সালাম নিবেন।আশা করি সবাই ভাল আছেন।আমি একটি বিষয় সবাইকে জানাতে
 চাই,যা
মূল বিষয় থেকে ভিন্ন ...আমি মেইলিং লিস্টে  ভিজিবল না, তবে আমি   গত কয়েকটি
উবুন্টু বিডি অনুষ্ঠানে স্বেচ্ছাসেবক হিসেবে কাজ করেছি। সেই  কারণে
বন্টু-মিন্টুর
আড্ডা উপলখ্যে আমাকে ডাকা হয়েছিল কাজ করার জন্য। আমি  গত  ২১ তারিখের
সেচ্ছাসেবকদের মিটিংয়েও উপস্থিত ছিলাম।

এই লিষ্টের কারো কারো মেইল আমার কাছে ভাল লাগলে আমি আমার মত প্রকাশ  করেছি।
সেইদিন
যখন কাজ নিয়ে কোন অংশ কে  করবে তা নিয়ে যখন ভোটাভুটি হয়েছিল, আমিও সবার মত
আমার
নিজের  মতামত জানিয়ে ছিলাম।
কিন্তু দুঃখের কথা এই যে এই লিস্টেরই একজন সিনিয়র ভাই  আমাকে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে
মেসেঞ্জারে অই দিন কেন আমি তাকে ভোট দেই নাই, কেন তার  মেইল বাদ দিয়ে অন্য
আরেকজনের
মেইলকে আমি ভাল বলেছি,তার ব্যক্তিগত এক জনের  সাথে জগড়া হওয়ার কারনে অই
ব্যক্তির
পরামশে নাকি তার বিরুদ্দে লেগেছি  ইত্যাদি বিষয়ে চার্জ করছেন। আমাকে বলছেন যে
আমি
উবুন্টু বিডির কেউ না।  আমাকে খালি চা বিক্রির জন্য ডাকা হয়।ও উবুন্টু বিডি
লিস্টে
আমি থাকতে পারব কি না বলে হুমকি দিয়েছেন।

 আমি সবসময় মনে করেছি যে উবুন্টু বিডি  আমারও সংগঠন। উবুন্টু বিডির কোন কাজে
সাহায্য করতে পারলেই আমার নিজের কাছে অনেক ভাল লাগে।অনুষ্ঠানে আমাকে যা করতে
বলা
হয়ছে  আমি তা আমার সাধ্যমত  করার চেষ্টা করেছি।এই ব্যাপার নিয়ে যদি ব্যঙ্গ
করে
তাচ্ছিল্য করা হই তবে  নতুনেরা কেও কাজ করতে আসবে না,সবাই আগ্রহ হারিয়ে
ফেলবে...

আমার মনে হয়, আমাদের নিজেদের মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা পাওয়াটা উচিৎ। আমি জানি
 না আরো
কেউ এই রকম পরিস্থিতির স্বীকার হয়েছেন কিনা।তবে আমার কাছে মনে  হয়েছে যে
সবারই এই
ব্যাপারটা জানার দরকার আছে তাই পোস্ট করলাম। যদি কাউকে  বিরক্ত করে থাকি তাহলে
দয়া
করে কিছু মুনে করবেন নাহ।


আর আমার সাথে তার হওয়া কথাবার্তার প্রমানও আমার কাছে আছে। আমি তা টিম
 লিডারদের
কাছে পাঠায় দিচ্ছি। তারা যা ভাল মনে করেন তাই করবেন। আমি মনে করি  আমাদের
সবারই
উবুন্টুর কথা ছড়িয়ে দেয়া উচিত ও একসাথে ছোটবড় বেধাবেদ  না রেখে কাজ চালিয়ে
যাওয়া
উচিত এবং এইজন্য যদি সামান্যতম  সহযোগীতাও কখনও করতে পারি তবে আমি তা করার
চেষ্টা
করব।


বিষয়টি বিচার বিশ্লেষণ করে দেখার জন্য অনুরোধ করছি...

Before we report it to facebook authority we need to take it to the
Canonical Legal Team.

The best thing we can do right now is quickly inform all the Ubuntu Members
out there to post about these fraudsters. Please blog about this on your
personal blogs, and hope someone will blog about it in Sachalayatan,
Somewhereinblog.

I expect Ovronill bhai and Tareq Bhai will also update it on their sites
(since many people are regular visitor of their sites)

এটা উবুন্টুর জন্য হচ্ছে না। জিপির কারনেই এমন হচ্ছে। জিপি তার সার্ভিসের
তুলনায় অনেক বেশি টাকা নেয়। জিপি ইন্টারনেটকে না বলুন। যদি ঢাকার বাহিরে হোন
তাহলে জুম আলট্রা ব্যবহার করুন। এখন এদের সবখানে নেটওয়ার্ক আছে (*150 kbps)
ব্যবহার করে দেখুন ভালো লাগবে।

জিপি ইন্টারনেট কানেকশন ধীরগতি হবার কারন হয়তো আপনার এলাকায় জিপির ব্যান্ডউইডথ,
উবুন্টু না। নেট স্পীড ধীরগতির হয় দুটো কারনে এক নেটওয়ার্ক ব্যান্ডউইডথ আর
দ্বিতীয়টা হলো হার্ডওয়্যার (ইনকম্প্যাটিবল হার্ডওয়্যার অথবা যথাযথ সেটিংস না
করা)।

Dear Ashraf
thanks for your concern but don't you think you are pointing finger at wrong
direction?
There is no official governing body for Ubuntu Bangladesh. We only have two
team leaders and one advisor post for Ubuntu Bangladesh, rest are volunteer
members who volunteers wherever whenever needed.

As Gazi has mentioned on his email he have informed team leaders beforehand,
we are holding internal meeting tonight to discuss possible solution to
avoid such confusion in the future. If you have anything to say on the
matter please kindly email to Shabab bhai or me or on the appropriate thread
for your sugesstions we will take it under serious consideration.

For the time being please refrain from posting offtopic on such serious
topic.

আপনি একটি ভালো ডাউনলোড ম্যানেজার ব্যবহার করে দেখুন কিরকম স্পিড পাচ্ছেন।
আমার প্রথম পছন্দ (সবসময় ব্যবহার করি) aria2 যদিও এটা কমান্ড লাইন ইন্টারফেস।

তবে  গ্রাফিকাল ব্যবহার করাই আপনার জন্য সুবিধা হবে।
এজন্য
১)Fatrat
২)Multiget

এই দুইটি ইন্সটল করে দেখুন এগুলোতে কিরকম স্পিড পাচ্ছেন। যেখান থেকে ডাউনলোড
করছেন সেটার উপরও কিন্তু ডাউনলোড স্পিড নির্ভর করে।

আমার ল্যাপটপে উইন্ডোজ ৭ এর সাথে উবুন্টু ১০.০৪ লুসিড ডুয়েল বুট করেছি I
উইন্ডোজ ৭ এ বুট করে জিপি ইন্টারনেট কানেকশন পরীক্ষা করে দেখলাম I গতি বেশ ভালই
পাচ্ছি I কিন্তু উবুন্টুতে বুট করে দেখলাম ধীরগতি ইন্টারনেট I এটাচমেন্ট দেখুন
I আমি অবশ্য এখনো হার্ডওয়্যার ড্রাইভার্স আপডেট করি নাই I পূর্ণ আপডেটও করা হয়
নাই I কিন্তু এটাতো কারণ হবার কথা না I

সাজেদুর ভাই, যথাযথ সেটিংস কি কি করতে হবে একটু উদাহরণ দিলে উপকৃত হব I
ইনকম্প্যাটিবল হার্ডওয়্যার হবার কথা না I আমার ল্যাপটপের কনফিগারেশন নিম্নলিখিত

আরেকটা মজার ব্যাপার হচ্ছে, উইন্ডোজে থাকাকালীন যে ইউএসবি পোর্টে জিপির মডেম
ইনস্টল করেছিলাম, সেই ইউএসবি পোর্ট ভিন্ন অন্য পোর্টে জিপি মডেমটি কাজ করেনা I
খালি নেটওয়ার্ক বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে গেছে দেখায় I এরকম হবার কারণ কী ?

লিনাক্সে একটা সেটিং আছে।
১)Hardware Clock set to local time
২)Hardware Clock set to UTC

এখানে ১ম টা সিলেক্ট করতে হবে। এবং উইন্ডোজেও প্রথম সেটিং টাই ব্যবহার করে,
পরিবর্তন করা যায় কিনা জানি না।যতদুর সম্ভব যায় না।
কাজেই লিনাক্সেই সেটিং টা চেন্জ করে ১ম এ সেট করে দাও।

 তুমি উইন্ডোজ রেখেছো কি করতে ? ডিলিট মারো ।

আপনার নেটস্পীড তো আমার কাছে ঠিকই মনে হচ্ছে আপনি 36Kbps স্পীড পাচ্ছেন। মোবাইল
ব্রডব্যান্ডে জিপির কাছ থেকে আর কত বেশী আশা করেন?

আপনি উবুন্টু র আপডেটগুলো সব ইন্সটল করুন। আর উবুন্টুতে পোর্ট সমস্যার জন্য
usb-modswitch প্যাকেজটা ইন্সটল করে নিয়ে মডেমটা খুলে রেখে সিস্টেম রিসেট করুন।
সমস্যাটা "জানালা"য় হলে আমি বলতে পারবো না।

ভাইয়েরা আমার

টাইমজোন ঠিক থাকলেই সমস্যাটা হবে। কারন বাংলাদেশ সময় = গ্রীনিচ মান সময় (যা
বায়োসে সেট হবে) + ৬ঘন্টা। ফলে উইন্ডোজে আসা মাত্র বায়োসে সেট হওয়া টাইমটাকেই
দেখাবে। সহজ সমাধান হলো উইন্ডোজে অটো টাইম সিন্ক্রোনাইজেশান টা চালু করা অথবা
"জানালা"কে পুরোপুরি ত্যাগ করা।

I think you have got an wrong impression. Neither of relevant parties, that
you have mentioned in your mail, are any part of Ubuntu-BD team leaders or
at your language, governing body. If you read Gazi's mail again you will
figure out that he has filed a complain to the "Team Leaders" of the
Ubuntu-BD about an another individual.

Please don't get any wrong impression.

It's a very very serious issue! I don't know how can we inform RAB! I
mean they even don't know Ubuntu! I am not sure but I guess if any
person who have given money to that person (Turjo), should file a
case/GD! and from Ubuntu Bangladesh we should also file a GD as soon
as possible! Otherwise we will be in serious problem! I believe Ubuntu
Bangladesh should file GD without any delay and before you go for any
other legal actions! most probably, this is the only way to show our
concern to legal authorities! otherwise, then the legal authorities
will ask ubuntu bd team, 'why you did not file GD as soon as you came
to know about you' and surely they will try to twist it!

I've contacted the Community Council and I was advised not to take any
legal action by ourselves before the legal team of Canonical starts
their work.

So for now let us collect as much as information / pictures as
possible so that we can provide them as evidence later on.

Thanks Mr. Mustafa and Tariq,

I'm an expatriate. I'm not involved in Ubuntu BD. As BD national, ubuntu
user/ lover and because of the GNU Licensing of Ubuntu I would say we
all should participate in ubuntu user extension in BD. We should know why we
BD people need Ubuntu and work accordingly. Ubuntu is for mankind. I don't
know about your little org in BD. But ubuntu is not little. I felt this type
of internal chaos should not come in front. The mail resembles lot of
pictures. As an well wisher of Ubuntu revolution in BD (I'll call it
Revolution) and for the shake of BD computer user I would like to advice --
help people to increase more user in BD in a united way. This would be
better if you people can stop the culture of who is bhai, who is senior and
junior, who is leader or volunteer. Because of this mentality no any good
initiative succeed in BD.  We should take care one most important in mind is
 Computer and Ubuntu is not only for few Computer Engineers, Programmers
or IT professionals. Much more are from user side. If we can increase lot
more ubuntu users these professionals will have value and demand. Other wise
they have no value.

I hope my mail will make you all understand that what I understood from the
mail posted by Gazi and Re: Torjo activities. I don't need to know why you
people did with Gazi or how you people solved. Because I'm from overseas.

I'm not pointing finger to any one specific. I'm pointing finger to the
system. Don't take things personally rather you people should think if you
are helping and cooperating people properly or not. Because you people are
there exposed to serve Ubuntu. Ubuntu is for mankind not for Chaos.

If you people need any help from Overseas--- I would love to serve Ubuntu BD
community.

Finally, I wish your tiny org will be giant with thousands of team leaders
and volunteer.

আসলেই জিডিটা করে রাখা মনে হয় জরুরি। যেহেতু টাকা পয়সায় ব্যাপার শোনা যাচ্ছে
এবং মানুষজন খোঁজাখুঁজি করছে, কখন জনগণের বন্ধুরা এসে সরকারি অতিথিখানার অতিথি
বানিয়ে দেয় তা তো বলা যায় না। সাত সমুদ্রের ওপার থেকে ক্যানোনিক্যালের সাহায্য
এসে পৌঁছতে পৌঁছতে পৌনে বারোটা বেজে যাবার আশংকা থেকেই যাচ্ছে। আর তারা পৌঁছলেও
তো শুধুমাত্র লোগোর কপিরাইট / ট্রেডমার্ক  নিয়ে মাথা ঘামাবে। প্রতারণার মামলায়
নাক গলাবে কিনা সেটাও তো নিশ্চিতভাবে কিছু বলা যাচ্ছে না। এই ব্যাপারে আলসেমি
করলে পরে বড় মাশুল দিতে হতে পারে। টাকা হারালে মানুষজন খুবই প্রতিহিংসা পরায়ণ
হয়ে ওঠে এবং পাগলামি করে।

আগে পরিচিত কোন আইন বিশেষজ্ঞের সাথে একটু আলাপ করতে পারলে ভাল হয়।

"সপ্তম জানালা" তে ইহা একটি প্রচলিত ব্যাধি,ঊহাতে যে পোর্টে মদেম ইনস্টল হইবে
তা ব্যতিত আর কোন পোর্টে মদেম পাইবেক না।অন্য পোর্টে পাওয়াতে হইলে আনইন্সটল করে
নতুন পোর্টে ঢুকিয়ে ইনস্টল দিতে হই বেক।তাই ঝামেলা পূর্ণ "সপ্তম জানালা" হইতে
