[Bug 84119] Re: feisty trackpoint false clicks movement
There is a line in your menu.lst: kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic root=UUID=aee7eebe-02ba-428a- b90b-afa9aed6dbcd ro quiet splash Change it to: kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic root=UUID=aee7eebe-02ba-428a- b90b-afa9aed6dbcd ro quiet splash i8042,imax=1 That did it for me. I see you have a line defoptions=i8042.nomux=1 which from my limited knowledge doesn't do any good, so might as well remove it. A line exactly like this, character for character including the #, # defoptions=quiet splash i8042,nomux=1 is only used by the program update-grub as follows entered as a command line in terminal: sudo update-grub So if you do not do sudo update-grub adding i8042,nomux=1 to the defoptions line it is of no use. The: # defoptions... is only used by the update-grub program which is only run when you issue it or else a new install is done. Now changing your kernel line as in the beginning of this post should do it as it is without having to issue: sudo update-grub. Do note that some updates or an install of course replace the kernel and change menu.lst, so if a kernel update should be done, you'd need to update menu.lst on the new kernel line. The configuration option to use GTK+ 2 is actually in the underlying wxwidgets library. The stable Audacity series (currently 1.2.6) relies on the now aging wxwidgets 2.4 library (with about a dozen other programs). This package remains compiled against GTK+1.2, as most programs linked against it have seen few updates in the intervening time, and may not work with GTK+2. [Bug 111227] NFS-root support indirectly broken in Feisty
Public bug reported: Various causes I can currently detect: 1) NFSOPTS changed from Edgy cause NFSv3 TCP only to be supported, initrd image loops complaining about no-support from the NFS server. It would appear Busybox is aware of this but Ubuntu's configuration does not: http://busybox.net/lists/buildroot/2006-December/000803.html +case $1 in + deconfig) + grep -q -v ip= /proc/cmdline + if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then + /sbin/ifconfig $interface up + fi + grep -q -v nfsroot= /proc/cmdline + if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then + /sbin/ifconfig $interface 0.0.0.0 + fi 3) DHCDBD, NetworkManager and NetworkManagerDispatcher similarly remove the default networking run from DBUS. [Bug 111232] Missing Icons in taskbar when Beryl is used...
Public bug reported: Hi, I have Kubuntu 7.04 installed on my laptop (fresh install) with Beryl decorations and effects used. Everything seems to be fine except that for some reason after boot up some icons in task bar simply do not show up. For example I have KNetworkManager running automatically and used as my network tool but icon is not there and if I start an application from terminal it opens currently running one... unfortunately task bar does not change its behavior. Or here is another example: Kopete. It connects automatically but sometimes task bar does not reflect program status: icon simply is not there. I start Kopete manually and currently running program is opened. So, what I do to get Icon in Taskbar: 1. Kill application 2. Run it again. [only then icon shows up]. Described bug takes place not very frequently but sometimes it happens and drives me crazy. Is it known bug? Does anybody experience the same issues? [Bug 110917] Maybe it's inttypes.h
Thanks! I see now that the example was not working because fscanf had simply continued onwards and wasn't finding the information correctly formatted and hence did not set the value. However, if you correct that mistake the original problem still exists (file attached). Furthermore, when compiling with the -Wall -std=c99 options in gcc 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4) it says: fscanfbug.c:17: warning: format ‘%d’ expects type ‘int *’, but argument 3 has type ‘int8_t *’ So it appears that the PRId8 macro is being incorrectly defined as d on my machine when it should in fact be hhd, leading to the byte overwrites I mentioned initially. But what about the rest of Firefox? Why do the buttons in Firefox not match your Gnome or KDE theme? In OS X or XP, the buttons in your browser correlate to theme you have chosen... see my ubuntuforums thread here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=418424 Not only should the toolbar match the rest of Ubuntu, but shouldn't the buttons as well? I don't mind the squared buttons at all, but some new users might find them quite plain and boring. How easy would implementing Gnome or KDE buttons into Firefox be? I've been given links to install different themes or widgets/installers to fix this, but that's a hack and I think it should be implemented at the binary level. -- Toolbar display should be Icons and text for consistency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42263 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
