[Bug 50886] Re: Patched localhost:631 page is bogus + misleading for Kubuntu
Hi, I wrote this on it's sister bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/56602. I thought it'd be good to cross reference just in-case developers don't look at dups. Thanks. -- I'm using an up-to-date Dapper (6.06.1) [2007-07-10] system and this bug is still not fixed. In fact, http://localhost:631 will not accept ANY username or password, even when running Firefox under gksu. Is a backport proposed or is this bug a too bad for Dapper users? [Bug 85488] Re: some usb_devices fault if usb_suspend enabled
@jengel: Well if the code _appears_ to do that, then we can probably work with that until the fix comes out and/or people tell us to do differently. @SilverLoz: Thank you very much for trying our suggestions. As stated above, I wasn't expecting the boot-time flag to work in 2.6.20 (a.k.a. Feisty kernels) simply because it seems the patch to add that functionality appeared in 2.6.21. Knowing helps, though. The boot-time flag _should_ work in Gutsy, which uses 2.6.22... at least in theory. Would it be possible for you (or someone else with a USB device who is affected by this problem) to download a Gusty *buntu Tribe ISO, burn it to a CD-R/RW, and then try appending usbcore.autosuspend=-1 to the kernel command line before scanning from the LiveCD environment? [Bug 116326] Re: No audio INTEL HD audio - Realtek ALC268 codec - Toshiba A205-S4577
Thank you very much Chris et al! I applied the patch and succeeded in getting sound with the ALC268 codec . It seems that the presence of headphones does not mute the speakers, I may have applied the patch incorrectly or consider this a tangential bug report. To the extent it may be useful to fellow novices I added the steps I followed to Mat's thread at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3000405#post3000405 -- if anyone has insight into the headphone issue a follow-up to that post would be very welcome. [Bug 125180] Re: id sequence is predictable and the same in all child processes
Code change for all three releases is identical with the upstream fix in Gutsy. All three updates build in pbuilders for each release. I have not tested that this actually works, just working off of review of the upstream code. -- id sequence is predictable and the same in all child processes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125180 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 125182] playback of flash videos skips frames
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libxine1 Playback of flash (.flv) videos is very jerky in applications using the xine engine, such as kaffeine, gxine and democracy player. For instance a camera zoom takes place in discreet steps of, at a guess, around 300ms each. This problem does not occur in MPlayer or VLC. Playback in the Adobe Flash plugin is pretty crappy and jumpy too, but not nearly as bad as it is in xine. I am running Feisty on a 2.8GHz P4 with a Radeon 9200SE for graphics. If you want to see the bug in action then probably any video on YouTube would do. The one I've done the most testing on is found at http://youtube.com/watch?v=cf0JoOBUyJ0 . The direct download link is http://sjc-v132.sjc.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=cf0JoOBUyJ0 . ** Affects: xine-lib (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- playback of flash videos skips frames https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125182 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
