[Bug 189490] Re: gnome-app-install crashed with AttributeError in modifyUserInterface()
Dennis, the status is set to fix committed. this means the developer has fixed the code. now we just need to wait for the fixed version to be released. there may not be a new version just to fix this single bug. most likely the dev will fix other things as well before making the release. so it could be a few days or weeks before a new version reaches the repos. -- gnome-app-install crashed with AttributeError in modifyUserInterface() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189490 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 190877] [NEW] Thunderbird loses drafts under certain circumstances
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird I've configured thunderbird to redirect everything to Local Folders, so email from various accounts appears in the same place. Personally I like LC_COLLATE=C and set it everywhere, and I can see why people want to set this in the installer. However, when this has come up in the past, the problem has been that GUI users object; with some justification, they want the sort order in GUI applications to match that defined for their language. en_GB users largely don't care, but in other languages it makes much more of a difference. [Bug 190954] [NEW] Some compose sequences are not available
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xkb-data It is supposed that /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose lists all of the compose sequences that are available in corresponding locale. In Ubuntu, not all of those are available. Some examples include ĉ (c with circumflex) that is supposed to be produced using MultiKey-^-c, ĝ (g with circumflex) that is supposed to be MultiKey-^-g and ™ (trademark sign), supposedly MultiKey-t-m. There are many more non-working sequences. I think we either need to strip that file of non-working sequences, so that it can be actually used as a reference, or else (and much better) make the non-working sequences work. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem First I am sorry to say I am only just new at ubuntu and/or Linux and not a very well experienced like most of you seem. Nevertheless, I try explain my problem here and maybe someone knows how to handle this problem. I have ubuntu amd64 installed next to Windows XP. I tried to watch movie with Totem movie Player, but it said it must download some codecs. Then it lead me to GStreamer Extra Plugs Add-on. When I tried installing the Add-on, I got the message: Cannot install 'gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly' This application conflicts with other installed software. [Bug 126337] Re: IDE drivers not loaded at boot with powerpc
A workaround for my Rev-B 20 1.8ghz G5 iMac which doesn't get cd detection, involved the use of two cdrom/dvd drives to get Hardy Alpha installed. I attached a firewire cdrom and burnt two copies of the install iso and placed them in each drive. I booted from the internal drive by holding down the C key, and the installer starts. Once hardy gets to the point of not being able to detect the internal drive, install picks right up from the firewire drive which also has a copy of the alpha in it. In the end, I have no internal cdrom detection, but at least the alpha is installed. Note that I couldn't actually just boot from the external firewire cdrom drive, so I had to do this tricky dual-disk setup initially. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't seem like G5 thermal support is working, so the exhaust fans just scream making alpha testing unbearable. Bug filed - maybe no g5_defconfig? Anyway, that's a different bug post. I'll try the modprobe techniques to see if I can get the cdrom detected post-install. -- IDE drivers not loaded at boot with powerpc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/126337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 191064] [NEW] Set midbrowser as the default URL handler for HTTPS

I noticed that Liferea can open HTTP URLs in the browser, but not HTTPS URLs (like articles from the Ubuntu Fridge, which is one of the default Liferea feeds). Thanks to Kyle Moffett [EMAIL PROTECTED] for the patch. Closes LP: #188200. - Add new patch, slapd-tlsverifyclient-default, to set the intended default value of TLSVerifyClient never in the right place. - Add new patch, gnutls-altname-nulterminated, to account for differences in how the length is returned for commonName vs. subjectAltName. - Comment out TLSCipherSuite settings on upgrade from all versions prior to 2.4.7-5, and throw a debconf error to the user notifying them of this, since all OpenSSL cipher suite values are incompatible with GnuTLS. Closes: #462588. * Add new patch from upstream, entryCSN-backwards-compatibility, to support auto-converting entryCSN attributes in a previously supported old format, fixing an upgrade failure. Closes: #462099. * Use --retry TERM/10 instead of --retry 10 when stopping slapd, since the latter resorts to a SIGKILL and may corrupt backend data; whereas the former will exit non-zero if slapd is still running but won't directly cause data-loss.
