This is definitely not a fix, it's just a work-around for a particular situation. AJP13 must be enabled in most servers as Apache is used in front of Tomcat. @ Thierry I cannot trigger when the error occurs, so my logfile is already too old (time stamp), when I get the mail. It happens probably while the windows machine writes to the samba server. I couldn't find anything suspect in the logfile for the Windows-machine. @ all I had different workgroup names in samba and in windows, since I changed it in windows to the same name, the problem did not reappear. Harald asked: different workgroup names? My only change from a default samba install is adding the log level line. smb.conf says workgroup is MSHOME. On the Windows side I just tracked it down and it is called WORKGROUP. I've just changed the workgroup to WORKGROUP in smb.conf, restarted samba, rebooted windows, and... the panic email still arrives. I had the same issue. I'm pretty sure it's only due to bacula-mysql-
director expecting mysql to be running. At the time it tried to connect
during the install process(Bacula intalled mysql as a dependancy, i had
not already had it installed on that machine), the mysql server was not
functional. The following are the packages that were installed from
using 'aptitude install bacula':

[Bug 404758] [NEW] Possible to have Ubiquity manual partitioning show a different filesystem while format is unchecked
Public bug reported: My disk has two partitions, / and /home. When I was installing Karmic alpha 3 I wanted to format / and use (but not format) /home. I do this by manual partitioning. The problem is that I can set the dialog pulldowns to an inconsistent state without any blurring. For instance I can select format as and change it from do not use to ext3, but not check the format box (the partition is ext4). Instead I suggest reordering the boxes - the mount point is more important than the filesystem type, so put that first and put the do not use there. Then I click do not use and change it to /home. The filesystem type should then be grayed out (defaulting to its current filesystem) unless I check the format button. So: currently: Filesystem: (do not use) - (ext4) Format? Public bug reported: Description:Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release:9.10 I am describing the problem encountered in different situations: 1.When I am logged into my ubuntu-desktop and try suspend/resume for the first time it works, but after having resumed from suspend once when I try to suspend the machine again or even try to lock the screen or logout or shutdown, the system freezes just on the verge of going to suspend,logout,etc. The only way out from the state is to press the hard disk reset button. 2.When I am at the the GDM login screen, suspend/resume works multiple times but when I have logged in into my account(ubuntu-desktop), after having resumed from suspend at least once at the GDM login screen, the system freeze occurs at the next suspend/logout/lockscreen/ shutdown attempt. 3.I can suspend/resume the machine multiple times from inside the kubuntu-desktop but the system freeze occurs when I try to log out from kubuntu-desktop after having suspended the machine atleast once. Description of machine:My machine is a self assembled machine having a intel 810E chipset. i am using ubuntu continuously since 2005 and I have never faced any problems with the suspend feature on my machine. Public bug reported: I think this is a bug in libgtk. On Karmic, I'm seeing buttons that have an underscore instead of an underline for the accelerator key. It's more obvious what I'm talking about by looking at the screenshots I posted. It happens only on certain buttons, but on those certain buttons it happens consistently. I don't know why. And the accelerator is actually broken on the keyboard when this happens, as well. Ran into this problem with Avidemux 2.5.0 on Ubuntu 9.04. ALSA output doesn't work. The device is not selectable -- there are only two dropdowns in Edit/Preferences/Audio, one is downmixing and another is AudioDevice. ALSA tries to find dmix and fails. [Alsa] Using device :dmix [Alsa]Error setting format. Another problem: says you search 710 into a selected area, it also find this number embedded into an other like 20090710, curious, this fonction has no settings to set rules (i.e only this number, or all numbers containing this one, ...)
