[Bug 419182] Re: KVM and audio driver in Windows 7
Good news. Looks like newer sound drivers are coming to Qemu in 0.14 (Maverick has 0.12.5, but Natty has 0.14) that work with Windows 7. http://wiki.qemu.org/ChangeLog/0.14 Sound * New Intel HD Audio support (commit), adding three new devices: o intel-hda: Intel HD Audio Controller, the PCI device. o hda-duplex: HDA Codec. Attaches to the HDA bus. Supports 16bit stereo, rates 16k - 96k, playback, recording and volume control (with CONFIG_MIXEMU=y). o hda-output: HDA Codec without recording support. Subset of the hda-duplex codec. Use this if you don't want your guests access your mic. * Usage: add '-device intel-hda -device hda-duplex' to your command line. * Tested guests: o Linux works. o Win7 works. o DOS (mpxplay) works. o WinXP doesn't work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to kvm in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/419182 Title: KVM and audio driver in Windows 7 -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 378240] Re: Please merge xen 4.0.1-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
I've created a package set for Xen 4.0.1 based on the debian packages with minimal changes. They are available in my PPA, but i'd love to file the appropriate bugs and so on if I only knew what to report and where. There doesn't appear to be a policy for this sort of thing. The packages are available for natty at https://launchpad.net/~ressu/+archive/ppa Essentially, this change affects 3 source packages. xen-common (which can be built as is), libvirt which needs adjustments in build depends (libxen3-dev - libxen-dev) and of course xen itself. Xen needs 2 additional patches and minor modifications for the debian package. The 2 patches fix build process and python 2.7 compatibility. [Bug 729932] Re: Error in errno(1)
errno(2) in freebsd-manpages is actually an alias for intro(2). There's still no reason to cross-reference it from a Linux man page that I can see, but you could reduce confusion by specifically cross-referencing intro(2) rather than errno(2). It is confusing, because, according to Linux man page sectioning, section 2 is for system calls, and so a cross-reference to errno(2) implies that there's a system call called errno, which there isn't (not even on FreeBSD!). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/729932 Title: Error in errno(1) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 305301] Re: [RC410] Xpress 200M hangs when resuming from suspend with DRI (needs KMS)
Okay, some progress (or regress maybe?)! So, I've tried a new hungarian distribution called Little Susie ft. KDE3. It's pretty neat, and is made for older machines. Just for my interest i've tried, if suspend to RAM, then resume from RAM works on it. IT does! It is based on OpenSuSE 11.1, running kernel 2.6.27-48 i686. What if someone smarter than me would check the difference between that kernel's resume functions, and maverick's/natty's kernel's resume functions, because (what a surprise :D) it still doesn't work for me in Natty Narwhal alpha 3! Or if we couldn't integrate the older kernels resume function in the new kernel because of the new KMS/DRI2, then finding a workaround, like when suspending to RAM, fallback to older driver, and after resume init the new driver. (I don't know if this discussion can be held up here, or if i should file a new bug for Natty?) [Bug 704833] Re: Dropbox isn't shown in indicator-applet - uses notfication tray instead
To clarify, Dropbox's indicator menu works fine in Maverick. In Natty, it sounds like it isn't detecting that the indicator-applet is present, so it falls back to adding a notification area applet, which doesn't display in Natty. If Dropbox's indicator-applet detection has broken from Maverick to Natty, there are likely other implementations that have broken as well. At the very least, the indicator-applet change should be reported to them so they can fix it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/704833 Title: Dropbox isn't shown in indicator-applet - uses notfication tray instead -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 683170] Re: should be possible to display only the launchers on the current workspace
PLEASE add at least this option, just as it was for the classic gnome task-bar. that's exactly the reason I don't use the netbook edition on my netbook: i'm used to have 6 workspaces (2 private, 4 for my job) and I really like not being distracted by anything going on on the other workspaces. it get's so confusing having an over-full launcher in which I have to scroll.
