[Bug 759525] Re: update-mime-database segmentation fault on libxml2 and __strncmp_sse42

2011-09-07 Thread LexLythius
I got this problem (triggered from package shared-mime-info) when I
upgraded my server to 10.04 back in February (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shared-mime-info/+bug/59240)
and still have it. Upgrading today to 10.04.3 did not help.

[Bug 841112] Re: FFe: Sync miro 4.0.3-2 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

2011-09-07 Thread Micah Gersten
In the future, please use requestsync to request sync's from Debian.
There's also the -e flag for freeze exceptions.

@ubuntu-release
MOTU ACK if everything's good on your end

** Description changed:

  Please sync miro 4.0.3-2 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

  Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception:
- The main feature added seems to be gzip for pydaap. No visible rdepends,
would be nice to stay in sync.
+ The main feature added seems to be gzip for pydaap. No visible rdepends,
would be nice to stay in sync. A sync will fix Bug #831280 (miro FTBFS in
oneiric) as well, but that could in theory be cherry-picked).

[Bug 841825]

2011-09-07 Thread Jakub-gcc
We have:
bb 4:
# DEBUG this = this_2(D)
reason_15 = reason_10(D);
reason_17 = reason_15;
# DEBUG reason = reason_17
D.137092_16 = this_2(D)-D.122214;
mozilla::net::PWyciwygChannelChild::Send__delete__ (D.137092_16);
D.132395_6 = 0;

and ccp (substitute_and_fold called from ccp_finalize) decides (because
has_zero_uses is true for reason_17) to remove reason_17 = reason_15; stmt
first, which during gsi_remove adds a # DEBUG D#xxx = reason_15 stmt.
Then reason_15 = reason_10(D); is being removed, but for some reason the newly
added debug stmt isn't found during FOR_EACH_IMM_USE_FAST for reason_15.

[Bug 844307] [NEW] monitor isnt detected using hdmi

2011-09-07 Thread Daniel Holm
Public bug reported:

When I connect my external monitor to my laptop using HDMI, the scrren
on the laptop flickers, and then nothing. Gnome Monitor doesnt detect
the external monitor, nor does Disper.

Using VGA to the same monitor works fine. But if HDMI doesnt work to
that monitor, it also wont work to my LCD TV..

 At this point, what is the ownership and permissions on /var/log/syslog?

# ls -l /var/log/syslog
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root adm 0 2011-09-07 10:11 /var/log/syslog

 After the logrotate command, I can still send messages to syslog with

 $ logger -i testing

 Note that the -i is necessary to make each subsequent syslog entry different,
 because /etc/rsyslogd.conf has

 $RepeatedMsgReduction on

 by default. Thus if you're testing with just `logger testing` these messages
 will get suppressed. I just want to be sure that this isn't tricking you into
 thinking that syslog is broken.

I don't think so:

[0] spitzer:~# logger a new, improved testing message
[0] spitzer:~# tail /var/log/syslog
[0] spitzer:~#

 I also testing this with a very minimal logrotate.conf file:

 -snip snip-
 weekly
 rotate 4
 create

 /var/log/syslog
 {
 postrotate
 reload rsyslog /dev/null 21 || true
 endscript
 sharedscripts
 }
 -snip snip-

I've attached my logrotate.conf in case it matters.

 I still can't reproduce your problem. :(

Well, let me know if there's anything I can do to help...

[Bug 838727] Re: Can't import photos from iphone

2011-09-07 Thread Jim Nelson
didier,

To follow up, gPhoto is the library Shotwell uses to talk to cameras and
import their photos. It could very well be that gPhoto is the culprit
here, but it's odd to me that it would be working for so long and then
stop, especially since there hasn't been any major changes to gPhoto in
quite a while.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if your iPhone's operating system was
updated in that time. Apple has historically made changes to the
iPhone's OS that make it difficult for third-party apps to talk to them.
It could very well be that the iPhone OS updated recently and that's
causing the problem.

If you could let us know what version of the iPhone's operating system
you're using, that might be helpful. Also, try this from the console:

$ sudo apt-get install gphoto2

(This is to ensure that the gphoto2 console application is installed,
which it might be already.) Then try this with the iPhone attached and
unlocked:

$ gphoto2 --shell

If you get an error doing this, then it's definitely a gPhoto problem
and not something Shotwell can work around.
