[Bug 872207] Re: When Firefox is running in Unity, drop-down menus sometime close when opened
I've been dealing with this one on not only my ubuntu 10.10 machine, but my parent's 10.04 machine in another house for months now. So I'm positive, this is not just personal settings on my machine, which are at fault. I have noticed the behaviour occasionally in Firefox. But its mainly a Thunderbird issue for me, when I try to delete junk/spam mail by right clicking on the Junk to access the drop down menu. The drop down menu then disappears, when I try to empty the junk. I'm presently now running the latest lubuntu and linux mint 12 releases in vbox and so far I've not noticed the erratic behaviour in their Thunderbirds (although that may just be temporary good fortune.) At first I thought the cause was related to the ubuntu Updates informing me, that updates were available for download, as that was when the problem occured. But thats not always the case now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872207 Title: When Firefox is running in Unity, drop-down menus sometime close when opened To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/872207/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 897678] [NEW] onBoard shifts after changing Language Layout
Public bug reported: If language layout is changed with hidden onBoard after onBoard is called back it's position is shifted to the right about 100 or more pixels so in some cases it is impossible to change onBoard's position back to where it was before( because position button is hided outside the screen). This bug occurs only when onBoard is resized(more particularly stretched) and after completely turning onBoard off and on again its position is restored, but all of the resize information is lost too, reverting to default dimensions. On the other hand when you are changing language layout with onBoard floating everything work just as it expected and no shifting occurs at all. distroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 with GnomeShell Binary package hint: onboard 0.96.1-0ubuntu0.1 ** Affects: onboard (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/897678 Title: onBoard shifts after changing Language Layout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/onboard/+bug/897678/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 897686] [NEW] update-manager fails to upgrade with socks proxy
Public bug reported: I'm trying to upgrade from natty to oneiric using do-release-upgrade. The problem is that I have internet only through socks using a local shh tunnel connection created by using: ssh -g -D user@ip. The tunnel works great with firefox and using tsocks or proxychains with other applications, also works with do-release-upgrade at first stage, but after the downloading upgrade tool it clears the screen and seems like a call to apt-get or synaptic (or is it aptitude?) and all the connections tries keeps failing. I've tried replacing apt-get in /usr/bin with a script that invokes first proxychains with parameters apt-get and $@, but that doesn't work either. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11488156#post11488156 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: update-manager 1:0.150.5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Nov 29 10:49:31 2011 GConfNonDefault: /apps/update-manager/check_new_release_ignore= /apps/update-manager/first_run=false /apps/update-manager/show_details=true /apps/update-manager/window_size=(1600,876) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat - Release i386 (20101007) PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=es_PY:en LANG=es_PY.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: update-manager UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-11-29 (0 days ago) ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/897686 Title: update-manager fails to upgrade with socks proxy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/897686/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
