[Bug 560837] Re: [HP Pavilion DV5040us] suspend/resume failure
AMD C50 APU (Toshiba NB550D), and I have exactly the same symptoms, be it on binary (fglrx) or open source AMD/ATI drivers. [Bug 638875] Re: Keyboard freeze on wakeup
John Campbell, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please provide the information following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume ? As well, can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . However, note you can only test Suspend, not Hibernate, when using a LiveCD. If the issue remains, run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal) as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux BUGNUMBER Additionally, if you could try to reproduce this with the upstream mainline kernel that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream-testing' text. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Please let us know your results. [Bug 841335] Re: panic on unsuspend related to connecting to an ibss (ad-hoc wifi) session
steubens, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. Are you saying you had network connectivity from the beginning till the end of the install or were you connecting/disconnecting during the install? Re: [Bug 985884] Re: cgroup lite postinst fails (init script doesn't start)
Ah yes. We do have something that has already mounted them. So it seems that the start script should make sure things are mounted properly, but not fail because they are already mounted...unless it's in the wrong place, or in a conflicting manner. I don't think that's the case here, however. [Bug 917144] Re: Other ... option is missing
What we all actually want, configuration-wise is some combination of these three (four?) directives in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf: greeter-hide-users greeter-show-manual-login greeter-allow-guest allow-guest I've kept greeter-hide-users as true, but they don't show NIS users, nor does it appear to show recent logins, either. Probably useless on the network, therefore. greeter-show-manual-login lists a user called Login, which allows a user name to be entered. I guess, given the brevity of the interface design, that 'Login' would be a bit confusing, but it's not a huge leap of lateral thinking to have simply renamed that option, 'Someone else...'. I guess dropping it by default is just what happens when you optimise for new users at the expense of everyone else. greeter-allow-guest and allow-guest seem to be redundant. Perhaps there is some way to start a guest session from the greeter even though the greeter displays no means to do so. Who knows? The only docs we have is an example config file with some comments in it, all of which may be wildly out of date. I set both to false to banish that nonsense in my networked environment. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/917144 Title: Other ... option is missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/917144/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 661790] Re: [STAGING] Ubuntu unsuable after return from suspend to ram
Matthieu Patou, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Maverick reached EOL on April 10, 2012. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We were wondering if this is still an issue in a supported release? [Bug 911831] Re: Http icons sometimes replaced by undefined icons in the Dash
It was happening randomly in two different ways : 1) [low frequency] on restarting unity manually : all http icons gone for good. 2) [high frequency] on session start : 2 or 3 first http icons of a lens missing the first time it's opened, until results are reloaded. Both don't seem to happen on trunk anymore, but their randomness makes it hard to confirm.
