[Bug 1270193] Re: /etc/init.d/munin-node not systemd compliant
The xfce4-power-manager depends on systemd-services. Please help me out here. I am trying to triage this bug, but you aren't answering my question. What proportion of Ubuntu users are likely to be running in an affected configuration? Is this limited to users who want to use munin (seeded in ubuntu-server only) and who also use Xubuntu, Lubuntu or Ubuntu Studio (since xfce4 -power-manager is seeded in lubuntu, ubuntustudio and xubuntu only)? I'm going to assume that the intersection of these two sets of users is small, and thus this is an Importance: Low bug as described by https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance. Patches welcome. Since munin no longer carries a delta in Ubuntu, it is probably worth you communicating with Debian over any fixes. ** Changed in: munin (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New ** Changed in: munin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to munin in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270193 Title: /etc/init.d/munin-node not systemd compliant To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/munin/+bug/1270193/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1263738] Re: login console 0 in user namespace container is not configured right
I've added an upstart task to the bug. After looking a bit more it seems upstart is trying to always open terminal devices with O_NOCTTY, so the tty ownership by init is likely unintentional and therefore a bug. I haven't been able to find where in upstart this is happening, but on the kernel side I can tell that it's due to an open() without O_NOCTTY. So while I think the kernel change makes sense it seems like it's more of a workaround for a bug in upstart. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1263738 Title: login console 0 in user namespace container is not configured right To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/upstart/+bug/1263738/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1270737] [NEW] webapp-container not installed by default - webapps fail to launch
Public bug reported: webbrowser-app was recently split into two executables: /usr/bin /webbrowser-app is the actual browser application, and /usr/bin/webapp- container is the webapps container. For backward compatibility, the browser application re-executes the webapp container in place if it detects an intent to launch a webapp. This works nicely if the webapp container is present, but it appears we forgot to add it to the seed. As a consequence, all webapps fail to launch (only displaying a white screen with no indication of what happened). Installing webapp-container solves the problem. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: webapp-container 0.23+14.04.20140115.1-0ubuntu1 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-3-maguro armv7l ApportVersion: 2.13.1-0ubuntu1 Architecture: armhf Date: Mon Jan 20 08:01:15 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-01-20 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (development branch) - armhf (20140120) ProcEnviron: TERM=linux PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: webbrowser-app UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug armhf trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270737 Title: webapp-container not installed by default - webapps fail to launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webbrowser-app/+bug/1270737/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Here's what I've observed: - On my desktop running trusty the click scope (More suggestions) showed up after a while - On my laptop running 13.10 the click scope did not show up, even after having waited several minutes after the phone UI was up. [Bug 1270656] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 boots to blank console
The apport data from comment #11 shows a virtual machine on VMWare. Looking at the first dmesg log, there seems to be some kind of resource conflict between the simple-framebuffer driver and vmwgfx. [Bug 1270234] Re: [MIR] process-cpp
@Matthias process-cpp does not depend on lcov anymore. It was, but at the time of filling in the MIR, lp:process-cpp is not depending on lcov anymore. This MIR is actually related to the latest snapshot of process- cpp in the bzr branch - we didn't release it because we need to do a batch release of all 3 components: dbus-cpp, process-cpp and properties- cpp. So, all is fine in lp:process-cpp which is candidate for MIRing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270234 Title: [MIR] process-cpp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lcov/+bug/1270234/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1270572] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 should have gnome-tweak-tool installed by default because of many settings that are missed gnome-control-center
My opinion on this topic is this: Graphical interfaces shall be designed to let the user decide over the work he's being performing; and to minimize decisions about technical decisions, about how his computer shall behave. The reason for this is it saves greats amounts of time; while this deep customizability is mainly not intended for making software more flexible, but just pass the user the responsibility of fixing by hand design failures in software and hardware. On the other hand, I think what meritocracy means is misunderstood by some. Meritocracy is about letting who contributed more to a project decide which scope represents better each individual one from the team; not just only, as seen in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=711426, saying we disagree. So there's not feedback with what people needs at all!, although you choose not to follow; what means decisions are based only in how the project coordinator understands the world himself. For simplifying: - What people think they need is, most of the time, not exactly what they need. - But what people don't like is never what they need. - So what is needed is what is liked by both, developers and users. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #711426 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=711426 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270572 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 should have gnome-tweak-tool installed by default because of many settings that are missed gnome-control-center To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1270572/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
