[Bug 1320283] [NEW] The spell checker has a bug
Public bug reported: Hi, please notice that I use the german spell checking, but the bug can be in any language. It is similary to #629983, but not the same. When I check words like ca., then the checker want to change the ca in ca. I changed it once, get ca.. then changed it a second time and get ca... The checker do not see the point after the word! [Bug 1314213] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad X220] External DP1 monitor extremely unstable since upgrade to 14.04
I have some new information. Apparently, I tried a different external monitor with the displayport and the same 2560x1600 resolution and the laptop worked just fine. I can run xrandr or unity-control-center while the monitor is connected and there are no issues. The monitor that does not work correctly has a display port-dvi adapter and the resolution is not detected correctly. Because of that, I manually add the resolution each time the computer boots with the following command: xrandr --newmode 2560x1600 268.00 2560 2608 2640 2720 1600 1603 1609 1646 -hsync +vsync; xrandr --addmode DP1 2560x1600; xrandr --newmode 1280x800 71.00 1280 1328 1360 1440 800 803 809 823 -hsync +vsync; xrandr --addmode DP1 1280x800 And then I set the output to the monitor with the following command: xrandr --output LVDS1 --off --output VGA1 --off --output HDMI1 --off --output DP1 --mode 2560x1600 Therefore it is likely that this is a bug related to the display port-dvi adapter. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1314213 Title: [Lenovo ThinkPad X220] External DP1 monitor extremely unstable since upgrade to 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1314213/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Guys, my apologies, but I don't seem to understand what exactly I need to do to get this working. If I simply upgrade when 14.04.01 is available, will I get the fix through normal means? I do have some test systems I can test it on. My primary system is another matter. I am really busy now, but I hope to be able to get to it soon. -- Sincerely, Aere -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1316384 Title: After upgrade from Lubuntu 13.10 to 14.04, color customization is ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/1316384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1320292] [NEW] ABI incompatibility between POWER and Z HTM builtins and intrinsics
Public bug reported: The IBM XL team defined a set of HTM intrinsic functions that were supposed to be API compatible across the XL and GCC compilers on both Power and S390. PR61193 describes an issue where the functions that begin a transaction are incompatible. The Power intrinsics return non-zero on success, while the S390 intrinsics return zero on success. After discussing this with the XL compiler team, the S390 GCC team and the Power GCC team, we have decided to leave the incompatibility between Power and S390. However, the XL and GCC compilers will be compatible with each other when targeting the same processor target. To mitigate the incompatibility somewhat, we have decided to add a macro to the powerpc*-linux's htmintrin.h file that defines what the successful return status value of the __TM_simple_begin() and __TM_begin() intrinsic function is. This macro is already defined in the S390's htmintrin.h header file and is used by the S390 to determine whether the transaction was successfully started or not. By adding the same macro on Power, we allow users to write common code between Power and S390, even though our successful return status values are different. For example, the following code can be used on Power and S390, even though the actual value returned by __TM_simple_begin() is different. if ((tx_state = __TM_simple_begin ()) == _HTM_TBEGIN_STARTED) { /* Transaction State Initiated. */ ... } else { /* Transaction State Failed. */ ... } David approved this offline, so I'm committing this to GCC mainline as revision 210486, as well as the 4.9 (210487) and 4.8 (210488) branches. [Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c
Leandro (bug reporter), it has been sugested that bug #228077 be linked with this one. It describes the same problem and same workarounds, but is older (2008) and has been linked to the upstream bug report and bugs in other services. It also has much less noise in the comments. Would you mind if this report was set as a duplicate to the other one? We could then change the description to reflect the proposal of adding a new keyboard layout instead of changing the default layout, if that's still the case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518056 Title: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/518056/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1293569] Re: iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes network disconnections problems
Emmanuel, I'll test the -9.ucode ASAP. Are there any bits from 3.14 or 3.15 that should be backported in order for the Ubuntu 3.13 kernel to work best with the -9.ucode? System76 customers are experiencing a lot of problems with 7260/3160 cards, and so we're keen on getting -9.ucode in a linux-firmare SRU, assuming that's the correct fix. Interestingly, -8 seemed to work much better on our products than -7 does, which I guess could be related to a lot of factors (different antenna designs, different card revisions, different APs, etc). For us, reverting to -7 seems to create problems similar to those that people are here attributing to -8. FWIW, on this 7260 (rev 73) I'm testing: Device: 04:00.0 Class: Network controller [0280] Vendor: Intel Corporation [8086] Device: Wireless 7260 [08b1] SVendor:Intel Corporation [8086] SDevice:Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 [4070] Rev:73 I'm frequently getting disconnects like this, on both the G and AC routers I test with regularly: [ 4917.138750] wlan0: deauthenticated from 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (Reason: 7) [ 4917.154768] cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain [ 4917.155185] wlan0: authenticate with 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 [ 4917.156421] wlan0: send auth to 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (try 1/3) [ 4917.158939] wlan0: authenticated [ 4917.159211] iwlwifi :04:00.0 wlan0: disabling HT as WMM/QoS is not supported by the AP [ 4917.159220] iwlwifi :04:00.0 wlan0: disabling VHT as WMM/QoS is not supported by the AP [ 4917.161249] cfg80211: World regulatory domain updated: [ 4917.161256] cfg80211: (start_freq - end_freq @ bandwidth), (max_antenna_gain, max_eirp) [ 4917.161261] cfg80211: (2402000 KHz - 2472000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 4917.161265] cfg80211: (2457000 KHz - 2482000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 4917.161269] cfg80211: (2474000 KHz - 2494000 KHz @ 2 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 4917.161272] cfg80211: (517 KHz - 525 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 4917.161275] cfg80211: (5735000 KHz - 5835000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [ 4917.162508] wlan0: associate with 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (try 1/3) [ 4917.166334] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (capab=0x411 status=0 aid=4) [ 4917.167410] wlan0: associated [18596.000601] cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain [18596.007368] cfg80211: World regulatory domain updated: [18596.007375] cfg80211: (start_freq - end_freq @ bandwidth), (max_antenna_gain, max_eirp) [18596.007380] cfg80211: (2402000 KHz - 2472000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [18596.007385] cfg80211: (2457000 KHz - 2482000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [18596.007388] cfg80211: (2474000 KHz - 2494000 KHz @ 2 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [18596.007391] cfg80211: (517 KHz - 525 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [18596.007395] cfg80211: (5735000 KHz - 5835000 KHz @ 4 KHz), (300 mBi, 2000 mBm) [18599.790518] wlan0: authenticate with 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 [18599.791521] wlan0: send auth to 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (try 1/3) [18599.844059] wlan0: send auth to 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (try 2/3) [18599.899353] wlan0: send auth to 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 (try 3/3) [18599.954640] wlan0: authentication with 00:21:29:71:0a:c1 timed out [18611.935967] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293569 Title: iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode causes network disconnections problems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1293569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1320299] [NEW] Nemo crashed during file rename
Public bug reported: I was renaming a file. It had a dash in it, and I have noted before that Nemo sometimes stops echoing characters received during a rename, possibly due to the dash (but not sure). I clicked outside the box to see what characters had really been received and set, then re-selected rename from the context menu again, to correct the file name. I think I deleted the dash, and perhaps made some other change (added and/or deleted some characters), and then noted that nemo was not responding. Shortly thereafter, it disappeared. [Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c
I wouldn't mind if this bug is marked as duplicate. However, at this point I wouldn't say that this is exactly a bug. I have the impression that there is a standard behavior in all new installations that Right-ALT + comma gives the ç letter, so that it is possible to create the ç letter in the en_US with dead keys layout. I still think that it is very important that a new keyboard layout differing from the current one only in that should be created. Maybe this should not be a bug anymore, but a request of a feature (the new keyboard layout). In any case, it does not seem that these reports are getting to the right persons, who could make that decision.

Revert to pristine: $ ubuntu-emulator snapshot --revert-pristine test_x86 9. start the emulator: $ ubuntu-emulator run --scale=0.5 test_x86 At this point I would expect /foo to not exist in the emulator, but it does: $ adb shell ls -l /foo -rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 0 May 16 17:30 /foo ** Affects: goget-ubuntu-touch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1320307 Title: snapshot command doesn't work with x86 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/goget-ubuntu-touch/+bug/1320307/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1320310] [NEW] Installation fails on machines without fqdn
Public bug reported: Hi, when trying to install stone on a machine without a domain part in the hostname (i.e. without fqdn), the postinst script permanently fails. The reason is that xDOMAINNAME=`hostname -d` aborts with an exit value 0 (that's what's hotsname -d does if it can't resolve) and causes the shell to abort the script. This should not happen. This happens when a 'canceled' signal comes form ubuntu-download- manager. It's unclear why udm would send such a signal to s-i, but that should be captured in the udm log file. I'm adding a udm bug task so Manuel can help debug the situation. In the meantime can you please attach /var/log/system-image/client.log and /var/log/ubuntu-download- manager/ubuntu-download-manager.* (yes, there are probably multiple udm log files). ** Also affects: ubuntu-download-manager Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1320306 Title: system-image-cli failing on goldfish (utopic image 28) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-download-manager/+bug/1320306/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1318637] Re: 045e:028e [Dell XPS 2720] Kernel Oops while using 360 gamepad with default drivers
This issue appears to be an upstream bug, since you tested the latest upstream kernel. Would it be possible for you to open an upstream bug report[0]? That will allow the upstream Developers to examine the issue, and may provide a quicker resolution to the bug. Please follow the instructions on the wiki page[0]. The first step is to email the appropriate mailing list. If no response is received, then a bug may be opened on bugzilla.kernel.org. Once this bug is reported upstream, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug- reported-upstream'. [Bug 1318116] Re: kworker uses 100% CPU when nfs-kernel-server is active
Can you also test the latest v3.13 stable kernel to see if the fix in 3.15 already migrated down through stable?
