[Bug 1392887] Re: serial wacom devices gone after upgrade to utopic/14.10
To make clear the term 'put to sleep' - is it the suspend mode (available by default) or the hibernate mode which made the problems? This issue appears to be an upstream bug, since you tested the latest upstream kernel. Would it be possible for you to open an upstream bug report[0]? That will allow the upstream Developers to examine the issue, and may provide a quicker resolution to the bug. Please follow the instructions on the wiki page[0]. The first step is to email the appropriate mailing list. If no response is received, then a bug may be opened on bugzilla.kernel.org. [Bug 1408015] Re: Confirmation in the header bar confusing
We have two different meanings of 'back' here: Confirm and Cancel. I think the back button on the Repeat page is confusing, it should show a 'checked' icon and it should be on the right side (right is confirm, left is back/cancel?), so perhaps the check all button needs to be moved somewhere else. I don't think using an 'X' on the New alarm page will fix the issue on the Repeat page. Perhaps the Repeat page needs to be a Dialog instead? ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Tim Peeters (tpeeters) ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium = High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408015 Title: Confirmation in the header bar confusing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/quick-memo/+bug/1408015/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1367495] Re: Bridge still not created if bind9 is on
Aha! It was an unprivileged container (I used to get the same error messages with privileged and unprivileged containers), and it turns out in one of my purge - install cycles I forgot to add $USER veth lxcbr0 2 to `/etc/lxc/lxc-usernet`. I did that (it's now the only line there after the first commented title line), and now I can start the container! (I rechecked: privileged containers also start.) In both cases, however, the network is unreachable from within the container, as evident by the response `connect: Network is unreachable` to my pinging my host and/or router. I guess that's not surprising considerng that `lxc-net` still returns all of these error messages. However, that's truly a separate issue now, so it's worth summing up that the uncommented line in `/etc/default/lxc-net` (which was installed that way, for some reason) was the cause of this bug on my machine. I'm not sure what to do regarding the new issue (I haven't googled about it yet), so I'll include what you've asked for just in case you spot an easy fix. [Bug 1406678] Re: git-annex fails to encrypt AWS credentials
I finally had a chance to look at this again today. I attempted to merge the relevant bits from upstream, see: https://github.com/dpifke/git-annex/commits/master Attached is a patch containing the results of this effort. Unfortunately, this doesn't fix the problem: running `git annex enableremote` enables the remote and writes the plaintext credentials to .git/annex/creds/uuid, without generating an error message. I've never written a line of Haskell before in my life, so it's not immediately clear to me why merging these fixes didn't work. I'm going to email the author (joeyh) in the hopes he can point me in the right direction. ** Patch added: git-annex.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git-annex/+bug/1406678/+attachment/4296829/+files/git-annex.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1406678 Title: git-annex fails to encrypt AWS credentials To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git-annex/+bug/1406678/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1409694] Re: 3g will sometimes switch to the second sim even if it is locked or empty
@Dave On a fresh install, even though SIM1 has the 3g capability by default, SIM2 will be used for data. This was discussed and a solution proposed for the wizard to prompt the user as to which SIM should be selected for data, however this was rejected by design. See bug #1379412 for the details. Also, please note the original bug description is correct. The bug's last comment seems to allude that the first SIM would be used for mobile data in some circumstances, however this is incorrect, SIM2 will be used. As for the mobile data setting switching on it's own from SIM1 to SIM2, I haven't been able to reproduce, so I'm re-assigning back to you until we have a reproducible scenario. Perhaps you might touch base with Alfonso tomorrow as he's in your time zone. I'd like to get his opinion, and maybe see if he can reproduce if you can come up with a repeatable scenario. Note, my testing was performed with two T-Mobile SIMs, the first active, the second a pay-as-you-go with no credits. I flashed the latest stable RTM, and confirmed that SIM2 gets selected by default for data. This happens regardless of whether or not SIM1 has a PIN lock enabled. current build number: 13 device name: krillin channel: ubuntu-touch/stable ** Changed in: ofono (Ubuntu) Assignee: Tony Espy (awe) = Dave Morley (davmor2) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409694 Title: 3g will sometimes switch to the second sim even if it is locked or empty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1409694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1409951] Re: j'ai un bug
One of your drives ( /dev/sdc ) is failing and needs to be replaced. The real reason the install failed though is because your primary boot drive ( /dev/sda ) is set up to boot in EFI mode, but you installed in bios mode. You either need to install in efi mode, add a bios_grub partition to /dev/sda, or do a manual install and set grub to install to another msdos partitioned drive that you also have configured your bios to boot from. ** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409951 Title: j'ai un bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1409951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1409995] [NEW] Queries to remote scopes time out
Public bug reported: I'm seeing this on Mako, image #63, devel-proposed. Periodically, the music scope fails to return any results, leaving a blank screen. Looking through the log files, I'm seeing tons of messages such as this: [2015-01-13 01:33:27.056262] INFO: SSRegistry: SmartScopesClient.get_remote_scopes(): GET https://dash.ubuntu.com/smartscopes/v2/remote-scopes?locale=en_US [2015-01-13 01:33:27.057239] ERROR: SSRegistry: SmartScopesClient.get_remote_scopes(): failed to read /custom/partner-id: unity::FileException: cannot open /custom/partner-id: No such file or directory (errno = 2) [2015-01-13 01:33:46.996259] ERROR: SSRegistry: SmartScopesClient.get_remote_scopes(): Failed to retrieve remote scopes from uri: https://dash.ubuntu.com/smartscopes/v2/remote-scopes: unity::ResourceException: Request timed out: https://dash.ubuntu.com/smartscopes/v2/remote-scopes?locale=en_US The request times out even though the remote end works fine. (Easy to confirm by pasting the same URL into the browser.) As an aside, the error about /custom/partner-id isn't an error: if the file doesn't exist (errno = 2), we should say nothing. That'll get rid of a lot of noise. In addition, when I run a query, I see all queries to remote scopes fail (see attached trace). I'm not familiar with the code. Looking through, I noticed this: HttpResponseHandle::SPtr response = http_client_-get(remote_scopes_uri.str(), [response_str](std::string const replyLine) { response_str += replyLine; // accumulate all reply lines }, headers); response-get(); Following this through, it appears that response_str is being appended to from a different thread without any lock. That looks like it's wrong to me. But that doesn't explain the timeout exception that is thrown from response-get(). I suspect a race condition somewhere because, occasionally, I get a query that works. ** Affects: unity-scopes-api (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Status: New ** Attachment added: smartscopesproxy.log https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409995/+attachment/4296921/+files/smartscopesproxy.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409995 Title: Queries to remote scopes time out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-scopes-api/+bug/1409995/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
