Trusty used upstream 2.3.2, but turned off enable-systemd; Utopic turns it on, and that makes openvpn execute systemd-ask-password, but with stdin set to /dev/null, whcih makes it pretty hard to interact with. As xorg-server- lts-trusty is using xorg 1.15, it is incompatible with the nvidia driver. As far as removable volumes like usb 'sticks' there is no option in nautilus to unmount so consequently no format option The only way to get this is to disable automount which then also disables autoplay of optical media. Both burns where done with K3B in the same system. K3b can use any of growisofs or cdrecord. I used 2 blank BD-R from the same spindle and burned exacly the same 3 files into them. I have burned ~ 50 BD-R using K3B with cdrecord and they all burn flawlessly at 4X (1 GB/s). K3B using growisofs (besides never burning correctly), burns at 2X (and reports it as 4X) while keeping the burner's hardware buffer below 50%. K3B with drecord keeps is at 97+% all the time while burning. Basically growisofs is useless for BD-R. CDrecord should be the default or at least an easy to use option. Public bug reported: Basically, the system completely logged up when this happened, we can see the following trace on the console. Then we reset the box. The logs below are from /var/log/kern.log It's not reproducible at the moment. The issue happened when we tried to stop a VM (qemu-system-x86) hosted on the box via OpenNebula VM management web interface. I ran into this same issue after installing Glipper on Ubuntu 12.04. The snippets submenu would initially show up when Glipper was executed but then dissapear after I clicked on an entry. If Glipper was run via a terminal window, this message would be displayed as the submenu vanished: LIBDBUSMENU-GLIB-WARNING **: Trying to remove a child that doesn't believe we're it's parent. I was able to fix the problem with the submenu by editing the plugins/snippets.py file and deleting the lines for the on_history_changed() function completely. Hallo Brian I have reistalled the system using a Ubuntu-Kylin Vivid image some weeks ago and it was working. Now after these latest upgrades it is broken again, same behavior as before, all the packages are detected as NOT genuine. Weird things I have done are installation of Ubuntu's mainline kernels and utilities like gdebi, synaptic, xchat and sogou pinyin input method, all fully working. Any hint?? Public bug reported: Using rtm 251 on bq, I just had some click update glitches (bug #1429022) resulting in having a click updated with the dash view refresh. Clicking on calendar (which is the click which was updated) seems to try to start the old version, which fails.
