[Bug 1540407] Re: multipathd drops paths of a temporarily lost device
Hi Thorsten, Thanks for the update. I'll attempt to find out if I can force a detach on the host-side to recreate the issue on x86 while I'm waiting for a Z system with FCP devices. Could you attempt to use the Debian package from Sid on top of the Ubuntu system? This will help rule out kernel related issues vs. userspace package bugs. You can download from here http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/multipath-tools/multipath- tools_0.5.0+git1.656f8865-4_s390x.deb And then force install with sudo dpkg --force all --install multipath- tools_0.5.0+git1.656f8865-4_s390x.deb If this is successful, then I can prepare a package with some updated fixes from upstream; there are a number of changes to path related discovery in upstream multipath that aren't yet included in the Ubuntu version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1540407 Title: multipathd drops paths of a temporarily lost device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1540407/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Two of these Go packages aren't using the proper naming conventions. Which means that we won't be in sync when Debian packages them. I believe newer packages use the newer convention.) http://pkg-go.alioth.debian.org/packaging.html Specifically, golang-goconfigparser-dev should be golang-github-mvo5-goconfigparser-dev. [Bug 1268770] Re: Error loading shared library for smart card authentication to server
So. I asked around. If anyone here is trying to use Linux in the corporate world and encountering what I encountered, here's the rundown. Ubuntu removed this because Debian removed it. Debian's page is here: https://packages.qa.debian.org/v/vmware-view-open-client.html It was apparently pulled in 2014 as unmaintained upstream, which is why it eventually got yanked from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS I guess. Other distros *do* still build it (after all, it is open source), and there are a number of "upstreams" on github, although I guess not "official" forks thus not qualifying to resurrect the package. Unfortunately Ubuntu and Redhat are really the only officially permitted options here, and probably in other corporations. So. That basically means that if you are in a similar situation you are going to have to: * hope the old package keeps working until maybe Linux gets a bit more attention from VMWare, or that Debian/Ubuntu choose one of these other repos as the "official" one. * do your own build * switch to i386 exclusively where you can use the vmware-view i386 closed-source client The OpenSC issue from this bug will still be a problem with either of those though, so hopefully Ubuntu eventually updates their 14.04 LTS package against the upstream fixes, or applies the patch from this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268770 Title: Error loading shared library for smart card authentication to server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vmware-view-client/+bug/1268770/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1498129] Re: Asus Xonar U7 S/PDIF output not recognized by pulseaudio
Raymond - thanks - not sure how to define a pulseaudio.conf file, how to name it, where it is referenced. Will have to go do some research. Do you have any idea why the fix to USB-Audio.conf is not working? The card name from aplay-l is definitely "Xonar U7 Echelon Ed." yet simply adding "Xonar U7 Echelon Ed." 1 to the USB-Audio.pcm.iec958_device section of USB-Audio.conf does not work. Is there a problem because the card name ends in a '.'? As you say the problem is now very well defined - I just need alsa to translate iec958:x to hw:x,1 but I CANNOT make alsa do this. I will go and investigate pulseaudio but it would be good to work out an alsa fix. - Needs a team bug subscriber. - Tests aren't being run. Looks like either the toplevel Makefile needs to be fixed or debian/rules should run "make -C tests test" for override_dh_auto_test. Re: [Bug 1549310] Re: Removing or causing lubuntu-desktop to be removed marks packages for autoremove
lubuntu-core is another meta-package so it's removal isn't harmful per- se. However the removal of meta-packages should not cause the marking for autoremove of that meta-package's deps. I can not as it says: "It appears you are currently running a mainline kernel. It would be better to report this bug upstream at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/ so that the upstream kernel developers are aware of the issue. [Bug 1539446] Re: Today scope hangs-on after OTA9 update
Summary: we don't know for sure whether the unity shell crash due to duplicated results from child scopes is the cause but it seems like the most likely one at this point. I have not seen this bug in released code myself. On ubuntu-phone list, a user reports [1] that unfavoriting the Messages scope (whose current released version is 1.6 although I do not know for sure what version the user has) fixes the Today scope issue. However, I am using Messages scope 1.6 and I do not see the issue. If it is the duplicate result issue, then it may have nothing to do with Messages, that is, unfavoriting the Messages scope could have coincided with some other scope not producing dup results. [Bug 1508192] Re: Mousepad search highlights hard to see
The bug is a combination of two issues: 1) A bug in Mousepad, which makes Mousepad not respect the set "search-match" style; when you highlight all search matches, the background for the highlights is always light yellow 2) An accessibility issue in the color scheme (shipped in xubuntu-artwork) which makes the current search match not distinguishable enough.
