[Bug 1853468] Re: Postgres upgrade says warning unknown distribution NEON
Hi Eddie, 190ubuntu0.1 suggests that you are on Ubuntu bionic or something derived from that. The package needs to know where it runs, and it does so via /etc/os- release # we have /etc/os-release, use it if [ -r /etc/os-release ]; then . /etc/os-release DISTRO="${ID:-unknown}" RELEASE="${VERSION_ID:-unstable}" # unstable doesn't have this field Based on that in /usr/share/postgresql-common/supported-versions there is a mapping which default now applies. That could for example be DISTRO=Ubuntu RELEASE=18.04 Which would map to postgresql 10. In your case that isn't true. You are not running Ubuntu but a derivative. If that decides to change these values then packages might stumble over that. There is nothing to fix here, it is part of KDE-Neon as a downstream to maintain a Delta for this just as Ubuntu does to Debian and Debian does to upstream. ** Changed in: postgresql-common (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853468 Title: Postgres upgrade says warning unknown distribution NEON To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postgresql-common/+bug/1853468/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This was now accepted upstream in qemu. [Bug 1853550] [NEW] lubuntu 20.04 live daily; unable to make use of virtual keyboard
Public bug reported: Lubuntu 20.04 Daily QA-test on motion computing j3400 (c2d-u9400, 4gb, intel mobile 4 series) The plan was to use this tablet-pc without it's keyboard. It is the equivalent of mouse-only device, and whilst I could get FCITX active on panel, and virtual keyboard to show, I was unable to make use of it to connect to wifi, enter details into firefox, qterminal etc. I'd not want to use a PC that way, but I suspect we'll have users who will want to. [Bug 1838796] Re: TPM event log does not contain events measured after ExitBootServices
I have verified the kernel image provided above. The PCR5 values in the TCG logs and in the TPM match. I have also verified that the ExitBootServices event is present in the binary_bios_measurements. [Bug 1853542] [NEW] X hangs for several seconds periodically when no GL clients are open
Public bug reported: Not sure if this is an issue with the X server or with the kernel i915 module, so I'm starting with X. The system is a Thinkpad X1 Carbon, Gen 7. Details on the graphics hardware (from lspci -vv) are below. BIOS is up-to-date as of Nov. 21. The symptom is that X will not redraw screen state for several seconds at a time under certain circumstances. Characters typed into a window, or an application that attempts to redraw regularly, are the easiest demonstration of this. E.g. running 'vmstat 1' in a terminal (which should print one line of text every second), I see no activity for roughly 5 seconds, and then all 5 seconds worth of content are printed. Generating some activity with the mouse/trackpad seems to trigger a refresh before the full time delay expires. This problem does *not* occur in the default Ubuntu GNOME environment. It appears that it only occurs when there are no GL clients running. In a minimal "failsafe" X session, it is reproducible 100% of the time. In a failsafe session with the "glxdemo" program from the "mesa-utils" package installed, the problem does not occur. I suspect that there's enough GL usage in the standard GNOME configuration that this doesn't affect most users, but my default X session doesn't use much GL. 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (Whiskey Lake) (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo Device 2292 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- Capabilities: [70] Express (v2) Root Complex Integrated Endpoint, MSI 00 DevCap: MaxPayload 128 bytes, PhantFunc 0 ExtTag- RBE+ DevCtl: Report errors: Correctable- Non-Fatal- Fatal- Unsupported- RlxdOrd- ExtTag- PhantFunc- AuxPwr- NoSnoop- MaxPayload 128 bytes, MaxReadReq 128 bytes DevSta: CorrErr- UncorrErr- FatalErr- UnsuppReq- AuxPwr- TransPend- DevCap2: Completion Timeout: Not Supported, TimeoutDis-, LTR-, OBFF Not Supported DevCtl2: Completion Timeout: 50us to 50ms, TimeoutDis-, LTR-, OBFF Disabled Capabilities: [ac] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit- Address: fee00018 Data: Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 NoSoftRst- PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Capabilities: [100 v1] Process Address Space ID (PASID) PASIDCap: Exec- Priv-, Max PASID Width: 14 PASIDCtl: Enable- Exec- Priv- Capabilities: [200 v1] Address Translation Service (ATS) ATSCap: Invalidate Queue Depth: 00 ATSCtl: Enable-, Smallest Translation Unit: 00 Capabilities: [300 v1] Page Request Interface (PRI) PRICtl: Enable- Reset- PRISta: RF- UPRGI- Stopped+ Page Request Capacity: 8000, Page Request Allocation: Kernel driver in use: i915 Kernel modules: i915 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: xserver-xorg-core-hwe-18.04 2:1.20.4-1ubuntu3~18.04.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.3.0-19.20~18.04.2-generic 5.3.1 Uname: Linux 5.3.0-19-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.9 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Nov 21 17:12:15 2019 InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-11-15 (6 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 (20190805) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh SourcePackage: xorg-server-hwe-18.04 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: xorg-server-hwe-18.04 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853542 Title: X hangs for several seconds periodically when no GL clients are open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server-hwe-18.04/+bug/1853542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1853525] [NEW] no python 2.7.17 in LTS version
I am sorry you have an issue with python on Ubuntu. By policy, Ubuntu does not blindly upgrade toolchains to point releases in an LTS release, but we go through extensive validation with rebuild and autopkgtests across all of our supported 6 architectures, which is usually in excess of upstream testing. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates Note your bug report suggests that you are using out of date package. rc1 is not the latest version of python2.7 in bionic. It has been updated to final release, and has had security updates since. Can you please verify you are using 2.7.15-4ubuntu4~18.04.2 ? What particular issue are you having? Can you provide a minimized reproducer? Traceback? Segfault / coredump? If we have those details about the issue you are experiencing we can work towards resolving it with regression testcase, patch and eventual release of an SRU. The speed is very fast, 7.5 MB/s 3. After a few seconds, the internet drops out without any warning and I can no longer ping my router. I didn't check journalctl unfortunately. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853005 Title: Wifi randomly drops out To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1853005/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

When this problem happens, does the wifi network on rpi4 still work? e.g. using ping command or other network commands other than ssh? [Bug 1811504] Re: scan with Laserjet MFP-M28 fails
Hi, this bug also affects me. Printer: HP LaserJet MFP M28-M31 hplip-version: 3.19.11 Operating System: Linux Mint 19.2 I have similar/the same issues as the ones @t-moreau pointed out: Using "Simple Scan", scanning in "Text" mode with 150 or 300 dpi works. Higher dpi-settings do not work. Using "Photo" mode fails. It was pointed out earlier, that a timeout might be causing the troubles. This idea would be supported by the fact that scanning with a higher resolution or in "Photo" mode takes longer. Is someone still looking into this? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1811504 Title: scan with Laserjet MFP-M28 fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1811504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
