Works great on my side with the 5.13.0-41.46 kernel.

VM start correctly and no more log spamming.

[Bug 25830]

2022-01-06 Thread Z-sam-i
Encountered this bug today trying to get a plaintext format (with the
mime type `application/`) to display as plaintext in the
browser rather than Open With > Firefox (and opening a new window.)

Is there still no workaround for enabling this type of functionality,
even by modifying config files in the profile? I tried messing around
with `handlers.json` (the file that holds the mime type preferences set
in `about:preferences` under the "Files and Applications" header) but
had no luck.

Some content types in `about:preferences` permit users to select "Open
in Firefox" while others don't. Where is the safelist of permitted
content types for this behavior? Could a simple solution to this bug be
to add an `about:config` flag that would allow power users to select
"Open in Firefox" for any content type?

2021-12-16 Thread Catalin-sasca-z
Created attachment 9254735
dim corners.png

Verified on 96.0a1 and 97.0a1 that the top side is rounded and look good
on Wayland session under Ubuntu 20.04. Although while getting the
notification to make Firefox as default, a dim effect is active and the
rounded parts have corners because of that (see attachment and zoom in).
Any idea? Thank you!

[Bug 1877038]

2021-08-20 Thread Z-paul-p
(In reply to Neha Kochar [:neha] from comment #11)

> Sorry for the delay in getting this finished. We don't currently have
anyone available to work on this. We will prioritize this as soon as we
can. Windows works because of the work in Bug 1508115.

I appreciate the work that you guys for free and I understand that
resources are tight. Is there some way we could provide some financial
support to address this specific issue?

How can Firefox claim to be all about Privacy, Security and Speed when
it doesn't support the greatest improvement we have ever had to all of
those things when it comes to logins? I expected Firefox to be the
very first to get this working, not the last.

Again, I do really appreciate what the developers do but I really think
that this issue deserves to be a top priority and I'm sure there are
plenty of people who would be willing to fund it.

Tried again reproducing this issue (following some leads from Bug
1689032 as well) in order to verify this on Firefox 85.0.2 and on ESR,
but had no luck.

Tried creating dirty profiles (adding addons, cache from websites, etc),
installing and uninstalling the browser, updating it over and over from
84.0.2 to 85.0.1, and we couldn't encounter any freezes. Tests were
performed on macOS 11.2, Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 10.

[Bug 1892843] [NEW] /usr/bin/jq suddenly flagged as malware on many AV engines

2020-08-25 Thread Alex Z
Public bug reported:

Some of my users use Windows 10 and run 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) in WSL.

We use jq a lot. Last week users reported that jq was not working /
missing and they were unable to reinstall with apt.

Users having installed Ubuntu on bare metal or using it in a VM were not
affected, only the WSL crowd.

Windows Defender logs showed that it has quarantined /usr/bin/jq as
Trojan:Win32/Casdet!rfn

I compared the sha256sum from affected systems to a fresh install of jq
from the Ubuntu repo. It is
bcfa215dec8fe15d4265c508c39c1ebafb7370acc95721e4e7d610b0459eb8dd on all
systems so I believe that it had not been altered or come from another
repo.

We reported it to Microsoft and they agreed it was a false positive and
they would update definitions.

A few days later the issue reoccurred. This time Microsoft classify it
as Trojan:Linux/CoinMiner.N!MTB

We contacted them again to report it as a false positive but this time
they close our submission and say that the detection of /usr/bin/jq as
Trojan:Linux/CoinMiner.N!MTB is valid and will not be changed. Meanwhile
other AV engines also jumped onto the bandwagon. It was just 4or 5 a few
days ago now it is up to 15, including ClamAV.

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/bcfa215dec8fe15d4265c508c39c1ebafb7370acc95721e4e7d610b0459eb8dd/detection

There is an issue open on jq's GitHub about it too:
https://github.com/stedolan/jq/issues/2175

I see one security firm claimed that jq is an IOC for a crypto mining worm:
https://www.rewterz.com/rewterz-news/rewterz-threat-alert-cryptomining-worms-steals-aws-credentials

None of our systems show indications of compromise, worm activity or
anything. I maintain that this seems to be a false positive. What can we
do ?

[Bug 1765946] Re: Solaar tray icon not visible

2020-08-14 Thread Delta-Z
Same here Ubuntu 20.04 / Budgie.

Initial "green gear" icon shows up fine. It's only one a device is
activated that it becomes an empty square.

Interestingly it worked fine for me in 18.10 / Gnome3

This bug is still active using python3-venv and 20.04 (Pop_OS). I am not

[Bug 1858293] Re: Missing repeated characters

2020-01-06 Thread Wes Z
Hello,

Hello and than you for the assistance and your time.

For sure I thought this was a bug because it appeared platform dependent
and only associated with nano.

The first thing I did was I checked my version of PuTTy which was .70
and then checked the PuTTy site and updated to PuTTy .73 and this "bug"
is gone.

Updating PuTTy to .73 resolved my issue. Probably the first thing I
should have done, but we never quit learning.

Nano is my favorite terminal editor.

Thanks.

4. I am putty'd in on machine 1 and ssh into machine 2, open nano, paste
the example and issue is still there.

5. I have not "built" a nano4-7 on the machine. But I can try tomorrow if you
still need me to do so.
Just let me know.

6. I do not have access to a 19.10 machine

Thanks.

Title:
 Missing repeated characters

To manage

[Bug 1858293] [NEW] Missing repeated characters

2020-01-04 Thread Wes Z
Public bug reported:

Nano 2.9.3
Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS - Linux 4.14.157-171 armv7l
ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l)

Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS - Linux 4.9.196-63 aarch64
Amlogic S922X rev a (4 A73 + 2 A53)

This issue is repeatable on more than 6 each different machines of the above
configurations.
I am using ssh via Putty to log in via terminal screen.
I am using nano defaults. I have not changed anything nor do I open with any
arguments. I use nano and it's not associated with any extension. It
behaves the same for all files, even no extension files.
Nano is not changing the file, it's just not displaying correctly. The
characters are there and they save properly, they're just not visible on the
terminal screen.

Using WinSCP presents no issues as I am using my local Windows text
editor.

If I use vi to view the file there are no problems.
If I use cat to view the file there are no problems.
If I use tail to view the file there are no problems

I do not experience this issue on:
Nano 2.5.3
Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS - Linux 4.14.5-92 armv7l
ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l)

If I take any file that has repeat characters such as:

-
|||

Nano 2.9.3 will not display all of the continuous repeat characters in
the row. For example:

Copy and paste is displayed as:
# <-- But end of line is correct
If I copy that line from the file in nano editor and paste it into another non
nano editor I get:
#
as the paste result

This is the same for all different repeated characters.
If I keyboard type ## nano will display it until
nano is closed and then the same file is reopened. Then it's same as above, one
# but end of line is correct.

Pasting:
# ++ ++ ++ ++
# || || || ||
# >CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->
# >CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->
# >DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->
# || || || ||
# ++ ++ ++ ++

into nano results in displayed:
# +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+
# | | | | | | | |
# >CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->
# >CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->
# >DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->
# | | | | | | | |
# +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+
while nano is still open.
Close the file and view in cat, vi or tail and it is show properly..

Pasting:
# ++ ++ ++ ++
# || || || ||
# >CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->||>CLK->
# >CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->||>CS ->
# >DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->||>DIN->
# || || || ||
# ++ ++ ++ ++

using vi editor
then save file and open file in nano results in:
# +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+
# | | | | | | | |
# >CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->| |>CLK->
# >CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->| |>CS ->
# >DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->| |>DIN->
# | | | | | | | |
# +-+ +-+ +-+ +-+

[Bug 1852720] Re: docker snap suddenly installed by itself

2019-11-15 Thread A Z
Adding in workaround:

Remove either the docker snap or the docker.io package:

sudo snap remove docker
OR
sudo apt purge docker.io

Truncate the syslog to get your diskspace back:

sudo truncate -s 0 /var/log/syslog

[Bug 1852720] [NEW] docker snap suddenly installed by itself

2019-11-15 Thread A Z
Public bug reported:

Have an Ubuntu 18.04 VM with docker.io installed from repo, it suddenly ran out
of diskspace after the docker snap installed all by itself at 01:00 Amsterdam
time.
Both snap docker and docker from repo were fighting over
/run/containerd/containerd.sock:

/var/log/syslog shows many of below lines being added:

docker.dockerd[5786]: time="2019-11-15T01:54:57.345655308Z" level=error
msg="failed to get event" error="rpc error: code = Unavailable desc = all
SubConns are in TransientFailure,
latest connection error: connection error: desc = \"transport: Error while
dialing dial unix /run/containerd/containerd.sock: connect: permission
denied\"" module=libcontainerd namespace=moby

On checking the file:

sudo fuser /run/containerd/containerd.sock
1052
ps aux | grep 1052
root 1026 219 1.1 2010520 23976 ? Ssl 09:07 33:18 dockerd -G
docker --exec-root=/var/snap/docker/418/run/docker
--data-root=/var/snap/docker/common/var-lib-docker
--pidfile=/var/snap/docker/418/run/docker.pid
--config-file=/var/snap/docker/418/config/daemon.json
root 1052 0.2 0.2 2650780 5540 ?Ssl 09:07 0:02
/usr/bin/containerd

Similar to what is described here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1188908/what-does-this-docker-log-entry-mean
I've removed the snap and snapd for now and cleared the syslog.

What's going on?

[Bug 1208993] Re: Ubuntu slows down and hangs while copying file from/to USB

2019-09-04 Thread Michael Z Freeman
Hi. This needs to be fixed. This caused me no end of problems over the
years. It makes Ubuntu look bad. I thought it was a problem with my
hardware until I found - https://blog.programster.org/fix-freezes-when-
transferring-files ...

"It appears that this has to do with having a very large cache of "dirty
files" being held, and when that cache gets too full, your system will
"pause" whilst it ensures all that data is actually written to disk.
Thus to "fix" this issue, you can reduce your cache size so your system
doesn't get overwhelmed to the point where it becomes unusable."

The defaults need changing.

[Bug 1838253] [NEW] whine/beep when recording sound, not present under Windows

2019-07-29 Thread A Z
Public bug reported:

When recording sound under Ubuntu 18.04 there is a whine/beep present.
This is not the case under Windows 10, as such I suspect missing
driver/software bits.

[Bug 1812480] Re: [SRU] Update to bugfix release 3.0.7 in Bionic

2019-07-22 Thread A Z
Will this ever be updated for Bionic?
I don't like the sound of "remote code execution exploit."
Apt version is now vulnerable, best way to install/update as of now appears to
be snap.

I tend to agree here. I think this could be a useful patch (I'd use it
instead of doing autoconfig stuff) but it's kind of silly to be hung up
on naming...

I do think that "lockPref" sticks out relative to the calls for
"default_pref", and "sticky_pref". I'm a +1 for calling it
"locked_pref".

[Bug 541951]

2019-07-02 Thread Z-nathan-1
:(

Ideally, I'd like to favor this patch over the one I proposed at
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=976334 - since it has been
tried and tested for so long...and that just adds another use case for
this: ease of locking preferences for android distributions (which
aren't as straightforward when it comes to specifying the autoconfig
file in the install directory)

Is it just a matter of having someone sign off on it, or were there
outstanding concerns outside of the syntax? It seemed like it kind of
just got dropped due to time constraints 2+ years ago, but that there
now are actually some compelling use cases for it.

Can't the fact that it's been needed and used by Debian for so long be
an indication of the stability and/or utility of the patch? just an
appeal to *someone* to perhaps move this along...

Aside from that, :glandium - how often does this patch "break"...that
is, how many times have you had to rework it because of changes in the
upstream code? I ask because I actually would consider applying this
patch and using it in my own distribution - even if it never lands.

[Bug 1832040] [NEW] Network issue, speeds throttled, wired fails.

2019-06-07 Thread Tsynk "Z" ZVoin
Public bug reported:

I have been having an issue with my networking on Ubuntu, when I am on
wireless, after some time, my speeds get throttled down to slow speeds,
I have a 50 Mbps connection and have did a speed test and got 8 Mbps.
https://www.speedtest.net/result/8314420338.png According to this link.
I was going to try a test directly connected to my modem and Ubuntu
wouldn't even connect to the Internet, it kept failing, I got in contact
with my ISP and they say that they are one of the few companies that
don't throttle and that my signals are healthy. My WiFi will also drop
out completely and I will get the no active connection error
notification when my router is completely fine. I will attach the logs
to this report. I am using Ubuntu 19.04.

[Bug 1829636] [NEW] Laptop freezes up after unplugging power supply

2019-05-18 Thread Tsynk "Z" ZVoin
Public bug reported:

I installed some updates that were showing on my screen and after those
updates, my laptop freezes up after unplugging the power supply. I
cannot use hibernate or even suspend. I will attach the log message
containing the information needed. I can assure you that my battery is
fine, I booted my laptop without the power supply plugged in and
everything works just fine, I plugged it in and it's still going for now
until I unplug it again. This is all I can give you.

This bug is not about the feature change. Your looking for bug 592822
and bug 629485. You know, I get tired of hearing that session store
don't work, but most people never check Firefox to see how many ways
there are to restore sessions, or find out how to turn the dialogs on
which I'm not going to do here since this bug is different altogether.

[Bug 1805702] Re: dnet-common - post inst script update-rc.d has error

2018-12-03 Thread Keith Z-G
My officemate just ran into this while upgrading to 18.10, and changing

work)

[Bug 1791853] Re: Postfix upgrade queries about replacing /etc/postfix/makedefs.out, when it really should always do so

2018-09-10 Thread Keith Z-G
Note that I attempted to file a bug upstream with Debian too (since
that's where this packaging choice originated), but I think I might have
mucked up the reporting format as I see no indication my bug ever
reached upstream.

** Description changed:

 When upgrading Postfix, I was surprised to be asked

 Configuration file '/etc/postfix/makedefs.out'
- ==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
- ==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
-What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
- Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
- N or O : keep your currently-installed version
- D : show the differences between the versions
- Z : start a shell to examine the situation
- The default action is to keep your current version.
+ ==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.

 *** makedefs.out (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?
-

 This would appear to have been added with version 3.1.4-1, specifically:

- * Install /etc/postfix/makedefs.out so users can see how the package
+ * Install /etc/postfix/makedefs.out so users can see how the package
 was built

 which is a laudable and understandable goal. However, it seems quite
 unequivocal that the package-provided version of this file should always
 be used when installing the package, since the file itself opens with
 the following line:

- # Do not edit -- this file documents how Postfix was built for your
+ # Do not edit -- this file documents how Postfix was built for your
 machine.

 There does not seem to be a valid reason for a user to have a version of
 that file that differs at all from the package-provided version, then;
 any divergence, in fact, would be misleading.

 Presumably then this file should be included in a way that does not
 require user intervention to update the makedefs.out file (ex. the /etc/
 copy could just be a symlink to a copy in /usr/share/postfix/, or
 perhaps there's some packaging magic that could be done?).

- (I suppose I should probably have filed this bug upstream with Debian,
- but I don't actually have any Debian systems running Postfix at the
- moment, only Ubuntu Server ones.)
+ Ran into this on a server running Ubuntu 18.04.

 What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:

 D : show the differences between the versions
 Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** makedefs.out (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

This would appear to have been added with version 3.1.4-1, specifically:

 * Install /etc/postfix/makedefs.out so users can see how the package
was built

which is a laudable and understandable goal. However, it seems quite
unequivocal that the package-provided version of this file should always
be used when installing the package, since the file itself opens with
the following line:

 # Do not edit -- this file documents how Postfix was built for your
machine.

There does not seem to be a valid reason for a user to have a version of
that file that differs at all from the package-provided version, then;
any divergence, in fact, would be misleading.

Presumably then this file should be included in a way that does not
require user intervention to update the makedefs.out file (ex. the /etc/
copy could just be a symlink to a copy in /usr/share/postfix/, or
perhaps there's some packaging magic that could be done?).

(I suppose I should probably have filed this bug upstream with Debian,
but I don't actually have any Debian systems running Postfix at the
moment, only Ubuntu Server ones.)

[Bug 1729674]

2018-06-19 Thread Marianne-z
I think I have the same issue with my laptop and dock (Dell TB16).
Laptop is new and installed in Fedora 28. All firmware are up-to-date.

Ethernet works fine unless I want to transfert a large amount of data.
Session (sftp, rsync or scp) cut abruptly after a few seconds. Nothing
relevant appears in system logs.

If I offload the RC checksums (as suggested above) using : ethtool --offload
enp11s0u1u2 rx off
Everything works fine.

Tell me if you need more logs or informations

[Bug 1335492]

2018-06-08 Thread Ap-z
(In reply to Gerold Schellstede from comment #95)

> 2) Unfortunately the patch has no effect at all.

Ok, are you sure that xfdesktop is emerged with the patch applied?

If so, I'd guess there is at least one file on the desktop, that wasn't
there on logout and therefore the icons are reordered on login. Or
somehow the icon positions are rewritten at the wrong time, whatever may
trigger that.

IIRC the config file with the icon positions is read repeatedly, once
for each icon. So the first icon that does not have a saved position
triggers a rewrite and all positions of not yet placed icons are lost
and then reordered.

The solution could be to read this file only once at the beginning, so a
rewrite does not affect previously known positions...

Could you describe what gets reordered when in your case?

[Bug 1335492]

2018-06-08 Thread Ap-z
Created attachment 6763
Patch for xfdesktop-file-icon-manager.c in version 4.12.3 to read icon
positions from open file.

The attached patch adds three methods to replace calls to
xfdesktop_file_icon_manager_get_cached_icon_position().

Before, the file icons.screen-???.rc with the saved icon positions was
opened, read and closed for each icon separately. If anything triggered
a rewrite of the file, while the icon positions were still read
individually, some icon positions were lost.

With my patch the file is only opened once and kept around until all
icons have their position set.

This also fixes the bug for me, and it's a better solution too.

@ Gerold Schellstede:

Could you try this patch? Maybe this solves it for you, too...

Gentoo only:

> '/etc/portage/patches//xfce-base/xfdesktop-4.12.3/xfdesktop-file-icon-
> manager.patch'

I've never used custom patches in /etc/portage/patches/..., you probably
have to add a path fragment to the patch file in line 1 and 2.

> Any ideas to solve this?

I created a local ebuild at /usr/local/portage/xfce-base/xfdesktop/.
Just copy the ebuild xfdesktop-4.12.3.ebuild and the files folder from
/usr/portage/xfce-base/xfdesktop/. Create a copy of the ebuild as
xfdesktop-4.12.3-r1.ebuild and add the following three lines:

post_src_prepare() {
 epatch "${FILESDIR}/xfdesktop-file-icon-manager.patch"
}

Of course add my patch to the files folder and create the checksums with
$ ebuild xfdesktop-4.12.3-r1.ebuild digest

Then you should be able to
$ emerge --update --ask xfce-base/xfdesktop

The attached patch handles files in

the problem (I didn't test extensively, though).

I forgot to mention that I am on an x64 Arch Linux machine (current as

unavailable)
inotify_rm_watch(14, 5) = 0

inotify_rm_watch(14, 6) = 0

lstat("/path/to/directory", {st_mode=S_IFDIR|0755, st_size=4096, ...}) = 0

futex(0x69f4f8, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL

And there it stops and becomes unresponsive.

[Bug 1695829] Re: IP Subnet to internet routing fails 5x/day after latest 16.04 LTS updates

2017-06-07 Thread Craig-z
I may need a little help to "test the latest upstream kernel" before I
can say "yes".

Problem: I visited https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds and one
of the first things I read is "These kernels are not supported and are
not appropriate for production use."

My server is a "production" server in the sense that if my system goes
down, so does a lot of my house (phone service, internet access, design
activity, etc). My estimation is about 2-days of full time effort to
re-install to get it all configured and running again.

So, do you have any good ways to restore the system back to the state
it's at now? i.e. if I try the new kernel and either my production
system won't work, or my production system won't boot.

Or is there a way to clone the system I have now?

Actually I may have just answered my own question, does Ubuntu have a "live
DVD" so I can use "dd" to copy my boot SSD to another SSD for the new kernel
"test" effort. Then if everything goes belly up, I can swap the original SSD
back into the system to keep going (then copy "newer" email and logs off the
defective installation back into the original production system.

Any tips on how to make this "kernel test" as risk free and painless as
possible? Being new to Ubuntu means I don't have full knowledge of the Ubuntu
eco-system of tools, like "iw reg set US" or "apport-collect 1695829".

As soon as I can reassemble my linux workstation, currently in pieces on the
floor for new fan installs, my backup RAID array will again be available for
"recovery" storage.

Tips for quick/painless recovery if the new kernel fails and breaks my
production system (where the testing has to happen)?

[Bug 1695829] Re: IP Subnet to internet routing fails 5x/day after latest 16.04 LTS updates

2017-06-05 Thread Craig-z
I'm not sure where to set CRDA region. You are correct that I'm in the
US.

This system is not connected by or to WiFi. It is a multi-homed CAT-6
ethernet connected system with 30Mb symmetric Internet-FIOS on eth0 (100
Base-T full duplex), and Local LAN on eth1 (Gigabit full duplex). There
is a third card in the system (eth2) which currently isn't being used
for anything.

The system is a full up server for VoIP, email, web services,
LAN/Internet Router, SMB/CIFS, ... etc.

This is a "home" system. i.e. not a business. But darned inconvenient
to the household when things aren't working right. ;) [i.e. You have
my full cooperation] As of Summer 2016, I'm new to Ubuntu.

[Bug 1695829] Re: IP Subnet to internet routing fails 5x/day after latest 16.04 LTS updates

2017-06-05 Thread Craig-z
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected xenial

** Description changed:

 Since updating Ubuntu 16.04.02 LTS with all latest patches on 6/2, my
 subnet internet routing is failing 5x+/day for my Windows 10 machine.
 Unfortunately, Windows 10 is also a moving target, which also updated
 6/2, about when this problem started. Bug report also filed with MS.

 Why I think it's Ubuntu... When Windows 10 based web pages stop loading,
 email stops transmitting, and internet-based CAD licensing stops
 working, I can get everything working like new again by typing "firehol
 start", which refreshes iptables entries. So I suspect the issue might
 be related to either the Linux kernel or iptables.

 I also see another bug dated 2-Jun-2017 for IP subnet routing, but that
 one is running on an ARM processor. Mine is AMD FX-8120, Ubuntu 16.04.2
 LTS x64. The reported problem sounds similar.

 I performed an IP Tables dump during "operating" and "not routing"
 states. I can't see any difference between the two dumps, but running
 firehol start clears the problem.

- While in the "problem state", my Ubuntu server does have internet
- connectivity. i.e. Loading web pages on Firefox on the Server/router
- does work. On the "routed" Windows 10 machine, what doesn't work are;
- ping (internet), Firefox (internet), Thunderbird (internet)... From the
- Windows 10 machine what does work are; ping (server), Firefox (server
- apache web pages), Thunderbird (server imaps accounts). So the Windows
- 10 machine still has full server access over gigabit ethernet, but can't
- see any internet based services, where IP routing is required to
- succeed. "firehol start" restores routing until for a brief time when
- the Windows machine is busy accessing the internet. Routing stayed up
- all night when there was no Windows 10 internet routing activity.
- Resuming activity in the morning caused a quick routing failure.

I suppose people will be wondering why it wasn't fixed once a Snowden-
style leak drops showing that this vulnerability was exploited for
years.

i literally installed the os and the package, threw this in

bridge_ports all

[Bug 1610769] [NEW] evince takes long time to load PDF if opened from recent files

Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Download this PDF http://web.mit.edu/~ezyang/Public/indiana.pdf

recently used selection

Expected result: It opens as quickly as in (2)
