Ubuntu 16.04
4.4.0-34-generic
Realtek RT2561/RT61 rev B 802.11g driver: rt61pci

I dont know it's a kernel issue only but testing in another distro with

[Bug 1592953] Re: Nautilus bookmarks folders leave permanent 'icon' on desktop

2016-07-13 Thread Alexandros Prekates
Ok. It works.
Thanks vary much.

Since i have now installed a proposed package update will
that mess with a future update-upgrade of my system?

Also after the installation i deselected the 'proposed' archive
from the Software & update tool.

[Bug 1593421] Re: Irregular mosaic effect cause crash

2016-06-16 Thread Alexandros Prekates
Well it seems that Pere Pujal Carabantes (one of the main developers)
proposes an ad-hoc solution for the time being:

https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxpaint/bugs/210/

That's from 2016-04-04 so i guess that bug must be solved upstream
first?

[Bug 1399838] [NEW] request for more user friendly progress feedback during network downloads

2014-12-05 Thread Alexandros Prekates
Public bug reported:

During installation if 14.04 from a dvd i choose 'download updates' and
download the extras for mp3 etc...
After many minutes in the same screeen i thougth that installation hunged. i
tried from a virt console to watch
/var/log/syslog but not interested info found.

I tried again not selecting the aforementioned options and installation
procced to the next time.

That day internet connection on my school lab was little unstable so i
guess the low speed internet must caused tha hung.

In that case i'd like pleace a) a progress bar in that stage displaying
bytes downloaded of bytes to download and time remaining and b) if time
is big to have a frienldy suggestion for alts . eg: from a full dvd to
not need internet etc.
