[Bug 1784589] [NEW] Can no longer have more than one imap folder with wastebin property
Public bug reported: In the past it was possible to have more than one imap folder with the 'Wastebin' folder type. For me it was useful to add to my server filtered Spam folder, so allowing the right click 'Empty Wastebin' option. In this version (3.16.0) setting the `Wastebin' folder type promotes it to be the Trash folder, demotes the previous Trash folder and removes the 'Wastebin' folder type from it. The problem with this is that folder contents without the 'Wastebin' property have to be deleted and are sent to the real Trash folder not immediately removed. Of course that means in my case that spam messages are intermixed with proper but perhaps no longer required messages, making recovery of those somewhat confusing. $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release:18.04 $ apt-cache policy claws-mail claws-mail: Installed: 3.16.0-1 Candidate: 3.16.0-1 Version table: *** 3.16.0-1 500 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: claws-mail (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784589 Title: Can no longer have more than one imap folder with wastebin property To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/claws-mail/+bug/1784589/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: In order for dosemu to reach maximum performance (a > 10x speedup) please enable kconfig X86_LEGACY_VM86 in the kernel. As of this commit http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-tip-commits/msg30360.html the overzealous kconfig message that seemed to suggest that the vm86() syscall was a security hazard in itself has been revised to reflect reality. Also please note that even if this kconfig option is enabled the runtime default is still off as vm86 is only actually enabled if the sysctl vm.mmap_min_addr is set to 0. That said, allowing vm.mmap_min_addr=0 is a known security risk and enabling the vm86() syscall to operate additionally would add little value to any potential attacker. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1499089 Title: Please enable kconfig X86_LEGACY_VM86 for i386 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1499089/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1001647] [NEW] usb-modeswitch-data binds the wrong driver to certain ZTE WWAN sticks
Public bug reported: The USB WWAN sticks (K3770-Z, K3772-Z, K3805-Z, K3806-Z and K4510-Z) require the cdc-acm and cdc-ether drivers. [Bug 988365] [NEW] Usb_modeswitch doesn't switch when wader is installed
Public bug reported: If you have a modem whose switching is normally working successfully by usb_modeswitch, installing wader-core prevents it from functioning. After turning on debugging in usb_modeswitch it can be seen that after installation of wader-core usb-modeswitch no longer finds the correct sysfs path. I've attached two logs, one with Modem Manager installed, and functioning switching, one with Wader and non functioning switching. It appears that the command line arguments are different in the two calls Wader: /lib/udev/usb_modeswitch '1-3:1.0/1-3:1.0' Modem Manager: /lib/udev/usb_modeswitch '/1-3:1.0' This can be traced back to the usb_modeswitch's use of udev variables substitution '%b/%k'. It seems that Udev unly populates those substitutions if any rule makes use of a related variable. It seems that Modem Manager did not cause %b to be populated, whereas Wader did. I've attached a patch that changes Wader's udev rules to be more like Modem Manager's, tested with 50+ modems I have and I'm happy that this patch should be applied to work around the issue. I would like to point out that at some point this is likely to happen again to usb_modeswitch when triggered by some 3rd party udev ruleset, as the root cause would seem to be that usb_modeswitch uses a substitution that once populated stops the device being found. ** Affects: wader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988365 Title: Usb_modeswitch doesn't switch when wader is installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wader/+bug/988365/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 950716] [NEW] deferToThread function return not triggering callback chain
Public bug reported: This seems to have broken the device detection in the Wader-Core Modem Manager implementation. It works fine in 11.10 but not in 12.04 alpha 2 dist-upgraded on 2012-03-08. I've attached a test case that demonstrates the problem and a log file each from the two distro versions. ** Affects: twisted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: defertothread wader -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950716 Title: deferToThread function return not triggering callback chain To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/twisted/+bug/950716/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 950716] Re: deferToThread function return not triggering callback chain
As an additional note I ran the same test program in the standard reactor and it was fine, the problem seems to occur under gtk2, gtk3, gi and glib2 reactors only. It may be connected to the massive reactor refactoring patch that Ubuntu is carrying, see http://launchpadlibrarian.net/93076302/twisted_11.1.0-1_11.1.0-1ubuntu1.diff.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950716 Title: deferToThread function return not triggering callback chain To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/twisted/+bug/950716/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi is it possible to provide the file '/tmp/wader.err' from just after the crash happens, please? [Bug 634991] [NEW] Mobile Broadband UMTS/GSM device fails to connect the first time after unlocking with PIN
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager If when initiating the Mobile Broadband connection for the first time since the device was inserted, and the SIM requires PIN unlocking, the connection may fail to be established if the SIM card/device is slow to unlock. Typically it will take 15 secs or so for a SIM card / device to become ready after unlocking. The current timeout for SendPin is 10 secs. I tested this using a slightly older SIM card and a Vodafone(Huawei) K3520. I have attached a patch that increases the timeout on the SendPin operation to 20 secs which works for me. I would expect it to have no detrimental effect if the SIM/device is ready earlier.
