Re: [Bug 1738404] Re: Bluetooth sound extreme low quality
Hi Daniel, - Cambridge Silicon Radio dongles are historically unreliable. I found my Bluetooth devices were excessively buggy with them. And other people found the same. Try a different brand if you can. I have reverted back to Ubuntu 17.04 some minutes ago and the 3x bluetooth audio devices work again correctly, as they did before and as they do with my android devices. So I do not think, this is related to any hardware issue. I have then installed all the updates and that is stilll working. - Can you please check what audio profile you're using in sound settings for Bluetooth? Make sure it is A2DP for the best quality. Not HSP/HFP. Is the problem just the wrong profile defaulting? The only available profile was A2DP in 17.10, which I already used. HSP/FSP did not appear in the list. --- I also tested form an USB with 17.10 for installation, same issues. I think I am not doing any other actions, as my immediate incident is solved by reverting to the former version. I hope the actual problem get fixed until next Ubuntu stable release. [Bug 1738404] [NEW] Bluetooth sound extreme low quality
Public bug reported: I upgraded today from ubuntu 17.04 to ubuntu 17.10. I use 3 different bluetooth audio devices ( BT earphones, BT speaker, BT BOSE Soundlink speaker) , all of them worked properly on 17.04. Since the upgrade, the sound gets continuous interruptions/cracking. These sound interruptions and cracking are so annoying that I cannot keep on listening to music. I could relate this to the fact that a new BT stack has replaced the former in Ubuntu. If I use wired devices (hdmi connected screen+audio, the sound quality is good and as before) so the issue is related to the use of the new Bluetooth stack. I have not found a way to parameterise it neither. I have not found any similar report. "apport" seems not ot exist in thise version, I cannot find and execute it. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1738404 Title: Bluetooth sound extreme low quality To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1738404/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 213444] Re: 8.04 8.10 nfs clients report internal error when attempting to mount NFS exports
Hi I had no opportunity to test yey (work + children) but will do it soon, guys. What I do not understand is wher eI catch the difference between NFS3 and NFS4, I was assuming my command mounting mount.nfs corresponded to nfs3 and mount.nfs4 was mounting nfs4, where both failed execution. sudo mount.nfs 192.168.1.3:/media/TV/tdt /home/carlos/LAN.tv -o port=2049 mount.nfs: internal error sudo mount.nfs4 192.168.1.3:/media/TV/tdt /home/carlos/LAN.tv -o port=2049 mount.nfs4: internal error -- Carlos Blanquer Bogacz ___ skype: carlosblanquerbogacz ___ -- 8.04 8.10 nfs clients report internal error when attempting to mount NFS exports https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/213444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 213444] Re: 8.04 8.10 nfs clients report internal error when attempting to mount NFS exports
Still same issue. I followed the link http://www.linuxconfig.org/HowTo_configure_NFS for setting up my share and the remote access. I have set up checked nfs on my server Kubuntu 8.10. I did set up a connection form my client PC Ubuntu 8.10, which does not work. These are the commands I issued: sudo mount.nfs 192.168.1.3:/media/TV/tdt /home/carlos/LAN.tv -o port=2049 mount.nfs: internal error sudo mount.nfs4 192.168.1.3:/media/TV/tdt /home/carlos/LAN.tv -o port=2049 mount.nfs4: internal error === As far as I see in the bugthread there is no solution yet, is there ? Or do I operate wrongly ? [Bug 289812] [NEW] Kubuntu 8.10 rc eeePC no graphical start
Public bug reported: Last 20081025 I upgraded my eeePC 701 which was running Ubuntu 8.04 + netbookremix to Ubuntu 8.10. This worked fine. Hardware is eeePC 701 with 2 Gb RAM and on a taiwanese version (thi sshould not be part of the issue). I then installed Kubuntu desktop 8.10 (on KDE 4.0). After reboot and from the login screen, it is unable to complete the graphics start and falls back to the login screen. [Bug 112698] Re: DVB-T drivers and Webcam drivers incompatible = SOLVED
I found instructions that provided a solution to the effects of the problem: 1. I followed the instructions that provided a solution to the effects of the problem: 1. Reinstalled U7.04 2. webcam is OK 3. sudo modprobe dvb_core 4. sudo modprobe cx88_dvb From my point of view there should be a mechanism automatic or manual to allow loading the DVB-T (or DVB-S or DVB-C) and the corresponding to the card at installation and at boot. [Bug 108073] DVB-T not recognized in Feisty = access to DVB-T could be fixed but side effects on webcam device
Same problem with a variant: access to DVB-T could be fixed but side effects on webcam device Description: Hauppauge HVR-1300 with analog DBV-T functions, using cx88 which by default did not work either in Feisty. 1. My quick initial fix was to get the drivers from www.linuxtv.org and compile and load them. Then without any additional action, the device could properly work, kaffeine was the proof. 2. However, as I am using a Logitech Quickcam Chat Skype, I have got surprised that the webcam did not work anymore. After investigation I found out that the webcam was initially /dev/video0 but now I had the following devices: /dev/video0 for cx88 /dev/video1 for cx88 (I guess for the MPEG hardware, but I think the driver to use it is not yet developped from the comments I found through www.linuxtv.org) By no means I have found a way to recover the webcam. I tried the same way I enabled it in U6.10 by compiling and installing the drivers from http://mxhaard.free.fr/ which was reported to be successful in the forums. However in U7.04 they do not compile, I tried the last 3 versions, where the versión (current - 2) was properly installing in U6.10. 3. Last workaround will be to reinstall U7.04 and load the modules as stated in this thread, in order not to lose the webcam functionalities (after checking whether any other one has been successful that way). -- DVB-T not recognized in Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108073 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 112698] DVB-T drivers and Webcam drivers incompatible
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20 DEVICES Webcam: Logitech Quickcam DVB-T PCI card: Hauppauge HVR-1300 PROBLEM SUMMARY=== Both devices cannot be both enabled on 7.04 PROBLEM DESCRIPTION 1. at 7.04 install the webcam is automatically recogniseed and works, so does the TV card but the DVB-T module is not loaded 2. compile and load DVB-T module, results into DVB-T functionality active (Kaffeine) but both /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 are linked to the TV card. Also /dev/dvb/adapter0 is created. However the webcam disappears and instead analog circuits of the TV card are selected/selectable (ekiga). 3. compile and load webcam driver gspcav (version 20070426 and later retried with version 20070110) produces an error at compilation and thus cannot load.
