[Bug 440625] [NEW] [ubuntu 9.10 beta] keyboard layout (dvorak) does not apply post-installation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I installed Ubuntu 9.10 beta using the ubuntu-9.10-beta-desktop-i386.iso image (md5sum verified). During the installation I was asked for my keyboard layout, which I selected as USA - Dvorak. This layout applied and worked properly during the installation, but was not applied post- installation. I have tried changing the layout in System Preferences Keyboard by adding Dvorak and setting it as the default. I also tried the Apply System-Wide... button. While this seems to have changed the layout for my user account this does not affect the GDM layout. I must still login using qwerty. [Bug 440635] [NEW] [ubuntu 9.10 beta] required icon themes missing for two included GNOME themes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I installed the Ubuntu 9.10 beta release using the desktop iso. Post installation I went to change my theme and found that icon sets for two of the included themes are missing. New Wave, Dust and Dust Sand are missing required icon themes. You can try two things to see if you have better success. sudo update-rc.d origami defaults sudo /var/lib/origami/foldingathome/installService It sounds like, for whatever reason, the symbolic links weren't setup properly between the /etc/init.d/origami and the runlevels. [Bug 202983] Re: [hardy] unable to start cupsys if selinux is enforcing.
On a fresh install I did 'apt-get install selinux' and I am able to restart cups as normal. It looks like this bug only affects 7.10 or upgrades from 7.10. [Bug 223735] [NEW] action on one display causes noise on the other display
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I don't know if this is directly against gnome-display-properties or perhaps its an xrandr bug, but I get noise on one display when using applications on the other. Example: if I launch gnome-do on the lower display the shadow displays (and does not remove) on the upper display. if I have a full screen terminal open in both upper and lower, I get a noisy line in the upper display.
