[Bug 1945368]

2021-10-06 Thread Dimas SC
I don't know if it can help, but here's a screenshot of my calendar-
data/ files right now (upgraded from 78 to 91 and I can't view local
calendar events): https://i.imgur.com/DQ6153V.png

\calendar-data\local.sqlite
\calendar-data\local.sqlite-shm
\calendar-data\local.sqlite-wal
\calendar-data\backup\local.v22.sqlite

I thought that maybe my lost events was in the backup\local.v22.sqlite
file but it looks like very similar to the actual \calendar-
data\local.sqlite

hi Marc, thanks for your reply.
the problem is resolved, i just restart my computer and do "sudo apt-get
update" and somehow it resolved. i don't know why...

sorry for troubling you :)
as a new fan of ubuntu, i had some request...
1. Would you make the next ubuntu version more light than before?
2. Would you make additional driver available, i have difficulties finding
micro sd card driver. :)
3. And for the last, i can't move on from photoshop and corel draw. i can't
install it on wine, (i following from forum and some blogs), many error
appears. i try to reinstall ubuntu but i find no luck. I hope you make an
official blog/tutorial for it. I used to design logo and shirt from these.

sorry if i wrong to post this request :)
God Bless You :)

Regards
Dimas Aditya Seputro.

[Bug 487613] Re: "history -c" doesn't clear bash history

2010-01-03 Thread Dimas
I can confirm this in Karmic. This is not because I have other instances
of bash running; "ps x | grep bash" shows only the instance where I'm
typing history -c.

After issuing "history -c" the history no longer can be accessed through
the UP arrow, but ~/.bash_history is intact. If I exit and reopen a bash
session (through gnome-terminal or CTRL-ALT-F1) the history is still
there (now accessible through the UP arrow).

There are two possible workarounds:

history -c; history -w

or

rm ~/.bash_history

screen corruption. Rendering is working too.

Thanks for testing uwe. So I believe there is really no problem with our
controller under Karmic. The problem is that we used madwifi in Jaunty
and had ath5k blacklisted to do so. When we updated to Karmic madwifi
were no longer there but ath5k were still blacklisted.

So I think this is a bug in the upgrade process. A possible solution
would be to detect the use of madwifi + atheros controller at upgrade
time and remove the ath5k module from the blacklist (or at least warn
the user), so users don't reboot to find out they no longer have wifi
working (or even worst in my case: to find out I no longer had how to
access the internet to find out a solution to the problem).

[Bug 471877] Re: unable to launch wireless connection after upgrading to Karmic with ar5001x

2009-11-17 Thread Dimas
Hi uwe. I believe that recompiling your kernel every time it's updated
is a less than ideal solution. If the ath5k driver works for you that
process would be unnecessary.

Since you are using madwifi I'm sure your ath5k is blacklisted in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf and in
/etc/modprobe.d/madwifi.conf. So if you want to test ath5k, you can un-
blacklist it in one of the files, while blacklisting the madwifi modules
in the second file.

2009-11-16 Thread Dimas
Uwe, have you tried using the ath5k driver? You can blacklist or remove
madwifi, de-blacklist ath5k and reboot.

Does anybody knows if ath5k is blacklisted by default in a new Karmic
installation or mine was blacklisted from Jaunty installation?

[Bug 471877] Re: unable to launch wireless connection after upgrading to Karmic with ar5001x

2009-11-08 Thread Dimas
I had the same problem. I have exactly the same controller (AR5001X+
rev01) and it was working in Jaunty using madwifi (because the ath5k
driver frequently froze my system). When I upgraded to Karmic today my
card were no longer recognised.

I then tried to install madwifi-ng from source, following the
instructions on this post
(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1309072). After that the card
were recognised, but the speed was ridiculous ~30 kbps.

Then I simply uninstalled madwifi-ng and removed the ath5k from the
blacklist (/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf). It's working
perfectly now. In fact, it's much faster than Jaunty with madwifi.

[Bug 426319] Re: [R400 X700] Blender incorrect repainting and screen corruption

2009-09-29 Thread Dimas
I can confirm this in Jaunty using xorg-edgers repos. My VGA is an ATI
Radeon 4870. I have some severe screen corruption, worst than
Giovanni's.

And I have another related problem: the mouse click (and focus) position
is above the cursor. To use anything in Blender's interface I have to
click about 15px below the point I really want to click.

[Bug 365776] Re: [i965] graphical glitches with Blender/OpenGL unless DRI disabled

2009-06-11 Thread Dimas
Just came across a post from Carl Worth in planet gnome that I believe
is related (http://cworth.org/intel/driver_stability/). He explains that
the intel driver had gone through a major restructuring wich caused some
regressions. This regressions were addressed mainly in the kernel, and
the fixes are available only in 2.6.30.

He also mentions that there are people in Ubuntu working on it and there
are newer versions of the intel driver and a package for 2.6.30
(https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers).
