[Bug 1746083] [NEW] PDF export fails with message "Successful export..."
Public bug reported: I'm doing a lot of thermo and calculus homework in Lyx. Lyx sometimes gets into a state where it silently refuses to generate PDFs, with no meaningful error message. I can sometimes generate the PDF by opening a new document, pasting contents, and generating immediately. If that new document is saved and re-opened, the error happens again. I'll upload a progress log demonstrating the error separately. [Bug 1680230] [NEW] Okular custom image stamp annotation ignores image size
Public bug reported: TLDR: A custom image stamp in Okular is stretched to fit into a square box, apparently of the system icon size. The image size and aspect are ignored. BACKGROUND: One of my few remaining uses for Windows is to use PDF-XChange to allow me to stamp PDF files with an image of my signature. I use a PNG file with specific DPI and geometry to size it to about 1cm x 5cm. It has transparent background, and some use of opacity in the pen lines. I was very excited to find out that Okular can do [custom image stamps](https://superuser.com/questions/1074614/customise-okular-to-add- my-own-annotation-stamps). I cannot find any way to make Okular respect the dimensions of my stamp image -- it insists that every image should be the size of an icon. ** Affects: okular (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1680230 Title: Okular custom image stamp annotation ignores image size To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/okular/+bug/1680230/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1661981] [NEW] Needs feature to resize viewport to match focussed application
Public bug reported: Problem: I have a large, multi-monitor desktop workstation (4224x1280). Generally when I want remote access to it, it's from a laptop with a much smaller screen, and usually with much lower resolution -- my macbook is 1440x900. Background: Many VNC servers are capable of sharing a specific rectangle. This is helpful under certain specific situations, but is impractical to set up ahead of time when you don't have a specific task in mind. Feature request: Add an "application viewport mode," which traps application focus changes through the alt-tab window. Upon selecting a new application for focus, it resizes the server viewport to the dimensions of the window selected. At least in Unity, one of the focusable windows (in the alt-tab list) is the Desktop, meaning that full-desktop functionality is still accessible. I'm not sure if there's a better way to handle multiple workspaces than switching back to the desktop, changing to the other workspace, and then alt-tabbing into the new application. ** Affects: vino (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1661981 Title: Needs feature to resize viewport to match focussed application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vino/+bug/1661981/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 769366] Re: Monitor prefs: poor resolution options when EDID fails
The bug is that when no EDID information is available, the default resolution options top out at 1024x768. This is not usable on most modern systems. It would be very easy to provide a list of standard 4:3 and 16:9 resolutions so that if it can't be autoconfigured, a user can at least use the gui to choose something *close* without having to generate an Xorg.conf. To address the minimum criteria for a complete bug report, I reiterate from my initial post: 1) I created a system that used a DP-DVI adapter. No EDID info was generated. 2) I expected to be presented with a list of common resolutions in the gui. 3) The list of default resolutions topped out at 1024x768. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769366 Title: Monitor prefs: poor resolution options when EDID fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/769366/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
