[Bug 220582] Re: [needs-packaging] oofem

2009-09-29 Thread GercoKees
** Description changed:

- oofem is a free finite element solver for solving mechanical, transport and
fluid mechanics problems. It could be used by civil engineers, architects,
etcetera. It basically gives you a command driven solver, which reads an input
file and creates an output file. The output file can be read with a post
processor like oofeg. I create some separate [needspackaging] issues for
packaging the related post and preprocessors.

+ oofem is a free finite element (short: fem) solver for solving mechanical,
transport and fluid mechanics problems. It could be used by civil engineers,
architects, etcetera. It basically gives you a command driven solver, which
reads an input file and creates an output file. The output file can be read
with a post processor like oofeg. I create some separate [needspackaging]
issues for packaging the related post and preprocessors.
+ pre: bug #220588DJ
+ post: bug #220584DK

btw, including the postprocessor is a matter of installing a few extra
libraries and then install oofem with the right options...

[Bug 220582] Re: [needs-packaging] oofem

2008-11-25 Thread GercoKees
Hi,
Personally i only use oofem and oofeg, without other optional features. I do
not know a lot about the other options but i think most users only use those
two. I think the testing tool also should be included (with all the example
files as well)

I do not have a proposition on whether or not we should include all of the
optional features by default. I am afraid the parralel version excludes the
normal version so i think it is easier to have different binarys for different
flavoures
Maybe we can have oofem-iml, oofem-dss, poofem-parmetis (parallel oofem with
parmetis) binarys?

hey, a fresh look of launchpad. Very nice...
i give it one another try. Download lp249090-3 goto the terminal and open as
follows:

(i do not think opening using nautilus differs, but you never know)

This crashes here almost instantly. Sometimes i can do 3 or 4 edits (move some
cells, press {F2} to edit a formula) and then it will crash (tested here on 2
different boxes).
I also tried opening the file on an other os (MS) and this gave no problems.

I am not sure whether this is a dup of bug 245477 because the symptoms are quit
different

[Bug 246281] Re: openoffice.org-calc 1:2.4.1 - del sheet crash

2008-07-09 Thread GercoKees
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be
dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch
nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on
the crash report you wish to submit.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

When i import files f-spot creates new folders with permissions according to my
umask.
Though, the files which are copied into these folders from the usb-camera are
given the wrong permissions.

For example:
with the umask set to: 002
the newly created directory's have permission: 775 (which is correct)
but the copied image-files have permission: 644 (which should be 664)

[Bug 201395] Re: f-spot should obey umask

2008-03-12 Thread GercoKees
For example,
check umask:
$ umask
0002
start f-spot and import a picture: test.jpg. In my case the file will be
copied to:
~/afb/2007/05/28/
create a file:
$ touch ~/afb/2007/05/28/file
check the results:
$ ls ~/afb/2007/05/28/ -la
totaal 1392
drwxrwsr-x 2 gercokees samen4096 2008-03-12 19:17 .

-rw-r--r-- 1 gercokees samen 1410133 2008-03-12 19:16 test.jpg

notice the wrong file-permissions for the file test.jpg (should be rw-
rw-r--)

be closed. Sorry for bothering you.
