[Bug 110624] Re: Sound not working with Ubuntu 7.04
I found the solution to my problem! When I opened the Alsa Mixer I noticed on the "switches" tab an option: Audigy Analo/Digital Output jack. In my case it was enabled. As soon as I unchecked this option the sound started working! In any case I have attached the requested TXT files (before I changed this option). I have simply numbered the txt files corresponding with the 7 points shown here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSoundProblems. I hope this information helps. [Bug 110624] Sound not working with Ubuntu 7.04
Public bug reported: With previous versions of Ubuntu I never had problems with sound at all. Since I installed (fresh installation) Feisty Fawn I have no sound at all. The hardware seems to be detected and yet I do not hear anything. I have a Soundblaster audigy sound card. My motherboard also has a builtin soundcard which is disabled in the BIOS. I am pretty much a Linux n00b so if there is any other information I need to add, please let me know (and let me know how :-) ) Thanks!
