It is already in proposed, so might make it anyway.

I looks like the downloaded package was broken:
descomprimiendo el miembro del archivo: error de lzma: los datos comprimidos
están corrompidos

It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a
particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will
clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the package operation again. This will likely
resolve your issue.

[Bug 1527722] Re: QGIS compilation fail only on Wily/amd64

2015-12-21 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Can you post a buildlog where compilation fails?

I suppose this is actually the same bug which we had in debian testing:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=806324#74

"
The problem is just that libQtUiTools.a has been built with the
binutils from unstable, which introduce new relocation types. The .o
object files (and thus static libraries) generated by binutils from
unstable therefore can't be processed by the one from testing.

[Bug 1515784] Re: UHD resolution not found when logging in, can select after login

2015-11-26 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
The problem still occurs when using a kernel from vivid (3.19.0-35).

If I login, the resolution is not correct. If I fix the resolution
everything is fine until I logout (no need to reboot). If I login again,
the resolution is bad again.

The available resolutions seem to change from time to time. Sometimes after
login I get only 1920x1080 when doing a login, but it drops back to 1024x768 as
well, sometimes rescaling to 1920x1080 if I wait a bit longer (the error messag
already appeared at that time).
After logging in and waiting approximately 20 seconds I can go to display
options and reset my display to the full resolution( 3840x2160).

[Bug 1515784] [NEW] UHD resolution not found when logging in, can select after login

2015-11-12 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Public bug reported:

Hi,

After updating from vivid to wily I noticed my screen no longer boots in
UHD resolution. I can set the resolution during the session, but on next
login it returns back to full hd. This is a regression from vivid, where
the resolution worked without problem.

This happens with different window managers.

In cinnamon I get an additional error, which is solved by removing
.config/monitors.xml

none of the selected modes were compatible with the possible modes:

I'm willing to invest some time in trying to find a solution.

Re: [Bug 1458050] [NEW] There's no GRASS in 2.8.1

2015-05-22 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Grass 7 is not (yet) compatible with the qgis grass plugin.

Note that there is a crowdfunding initiative to develop it:
http://www.gissula.eu/qgis-grass-plugin-crowdfunding/

The plugin will become available if you downgrade to grass 6.4. This
can be done using:
sudo apt-get install grass-core=6.4.3-3 grass-gui=6.4.3-3 grass=6.4.3-3

Re: [Bug 1423670] Re: Fix saga FTBFS on vivid

2015-03-04 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
I filed a bug against libvigraimpex earlier:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvigraimpex/+bug/1404996

In short: saga fails to build against this version of the library.
I've not had time to investigate in detail, but by excluding this
module at least the rest of SAGA builds.

SAGA was built succesfully in debian unstable.

[Bug 1395268] [NEW] Sync gdal 1.11.1+dfsg-1~exp2 (universe) from Debian experimental (main)

2014-11-21 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Public bug reported:

Please sync gdal 1.11.1+dfsg-1~exp2 (universe) from Debian experimental
(main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * No-change rebuild for new poppler
  * Rebuild against libhdf5-8.
  * Disable -fstack-protector-strong on arm64; it causes the compiler to
fail to compile frmts/wms/md5.cpp with exit code 1 but no error message.
  * Disable -fstack-protector-strong on arm64; it causes the compiler to
fail to compile frmts/wms/md5.cpp with exit code 1 but no error message.

  * Merge back lost changes from 1.10.1+dfsg-3ubuntu2 to fix ftbfs on
arm64 and ppc64el.
  * Merge back lost changes from 1.10.1+dfsg-3ubuntu2 to fix ftbfs on
arm64 and ppc64el.
  * Undo the last change, not that hdf4 is built everywhere.
  * Build without hdf4 on arm64, ppc64 and ppc64el.
  * Rebuild against libepsilon1.
  * Rebuild for the new poppler soname

A transition for gdal was requested in debian on 2 august (#756867), but
was not done before the freeze. Since the version builds on arm64 on
debian, I think we can ignore the local changes here. The version of
liblas in vivid supports this version of gdal, libgdal-grass will have
to be synced from experimental as well.

Changelog entries since current vivid version 1.10.1+dfsg-8ubuntu3:

gdal (1.11.1+dfsg-1~exp2) experimental; urgency=medium

How did you try to install qgis 2.2. Where did you get the package
from? Did you add an external repository or download just one file?

[Bug 1386377] [NEW] Sync libhdf4 4.2.10-3 (universe) from Debian sid (main)

2014-10-27 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Public bug reported:

Please sync libhdf4 4.2.10-3 (universe) from Debian sid (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * New upstream version.
  * New upstream version.
  * New upstream version.

I have used the ubuntu version for building 4.2.10-1~exp1, the subsequent
releases contain other patches to improve libhdf4.
I should add that the source tarball is rather different between the ubuntu
version and the debian version. It contains the same upstream version, but in
ubuntu it is actually a tarball containing a tarball with the source, automatic
diffs may yield many differences.

Note that fixes in package 4.2.10-2 contain a fix for issue lp:1296303

In case there are any more problems, feel free to contact me.

Johan

Uhu,

What do you see when you run:
apt-cache showpkg gdal-bin

Perhaps you have a newer version of gdal-bin installed from eg
ubuntugis/unstable which is blocking the upgrade of gdal-bin?
In that case you can try:
sudo aptitude install libgdal1-1.6.0/natty-proposed
sudo aptitude install gdal-bin/natty-proposed

Anyway:
I just did the same thing, and it seems the error with GML is
definitely fixed. I'm still doing some random other tests to be sure
there are no regressions.

From the buidlog: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/63483840
/buildlog_ubuntu-natty-i386.gdal_1.6.3-4build3_BUILDING.txt.gz

checking for Xerces C++ Parser headers in /usr/include and
/usr/include/xercesc... found
checking for Xerces C++ Parser libraries... not found
checking for Xerces C++ Parser... no

If I rebuild using pbuilder xerces is found - so rebuilding seems to
solve the bug

@Anita: not sure - I'll try to grab some attention on IRC today, than it
might be fixed within one week. Otherwise I think ubuntugis is the
better option.

[Bug 786790] Re: Xerces is not linked in GDAL-Util-Package

2011-07-01 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
** Description changed:

+ === SRU Justification ===
+ GDAL is a widely used library for reading geographic data. Due to a problem
in the build system, it was not linked to xerces. This regression occured
between rebuild 1 and rebuild 2.
+
+ Due to the missing link with xerces, gml files, which are the
+ standardized (iso and osgeo) files for geographic data can not be read
+ by most GIS programs in ubuntu.
+
+ New builds in a clean environment are linked to libxerces correctly.
+ =
+
  ogr2ogr -f GML lakes2.gml lakes.gml.

fails. Actually the output (the output of ogrinfo is attached)
guided me to the GDAL-Util-Package. Could it be that in ubuntu 11.04 the
gdal-package is not linked to the xerces-library?

2011-03-23 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
Nice to see that people are using the daily builds!

It's not really an error, rather a warning. Which I believe you can ignore.
Editing RSAGA-core.R and changing line 238:

238c238
 usage = rsaga.geoprocessor(lib, module, param = list(h=''), env = env,
---
usage = rsaga.geoprocessor(lib, module, param = list(), env = env,

Will remove the warning. I'm not using RSAGA myself, and I don't have
sufficient time to test if this change has any other effects - so if
you try it and it works/if you try it and it fails, please report it.

[Bug 734174] Re: No segmentation in menus

2011-03-13 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
I suppose you use the version from my ppa.
https://launchpad.net/~johanvdw/+archive/sagacvs

In that case, the module should be present: modules\imagery\segmentation

If for some reason it is not present, try opening from /usr/lib/saga ( I
recommend selecting all files in that directory, than you will have all
modules).

If you manage to fix your problem, please report how - I am not sure why
you don't see the module.

If the problem remains, please provide the exact version of saga you are using
(in a terminal):
dpkg -s saga
and perhaps the output of the following command:
saga_cmd libimagery_segmentation

** Changed in: saga (Ubuntu)

Not really a bug, but other people may face a similar problem, so useful
to keep as a question.

[Bug 707791] Re: Please merge qgis 1.4.0+12730-4 from Debian unstable

2011-01-26 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
I think the severity of this bug can be downgraded: powerpc is not a
supported architecture on ubuntu, and the changes are only necessary for
that architecture.

[Bug 704368] Re: apt-get can not install it in 10.04.1

2011-01-19 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
No. You don't want to use header files which are not from exactly the same
version of a library.
Are you trying to install a third program which depends on libproj0 or
libproj-dev? Or what do you need libproj-dev for exactly?

[Bug 704368] Re: apt-get can not install it in 10.04.1

2011-01-18 Thread Johan Van de Wauw
It *seems* that you have installed the libproj0 from the ubuntugis
unstable archive [1], but that this repository is not present anymore.

To solve you either have to add the repository to your sources
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntugis/ubuntugis-unstable
sudo apt-get update

Or remove the version of libproj0 from your computer.
sudo apt-get remove libproj0
