[Bug 374458] Re: Random Logitech Wireless Mouse Freeze (Kubuntu 9.04)
Hello! I'm back... ewgray, this is veeery strange, because I changed my mouse for a Basic Microsoft USB mouse too and now everything is just fine! So, the problem occurs only with PS/2 mice. And it's more strange, because I always use this PS/2 mouse, with other versions of Ubuntu, with this same configuration without problems. It seems to be a problem with 64 bits platforms too, wright? -- Random Logitech Wireless Mouse Freeze (Kubuntu 9.04) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 127769] Re: nvidia-glx working on 6.06, but don't on 7.04
Ok. In fact I don't want to install the NVidia proprietary drivers. It was only an experience because the nvidia-glx that I always use don't work on Feisty. My goal is to put the nvidia-glx working properly with Feisty Fawn (as said in the first message). I've tried all ways to fix the problem using Ubuntu helps, forums and answers from launchpad, but nothing works. I insist there's a kind of bug at the interaction between Ubuntu Feisty and nvidia-glx driver. How can I driver work in the 2.6.15 kernel but don't in the 2.6.20? [Bug 127769] nvidia-glx working on 6.06, but don't on 7.04
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx Hi! I had Ubuntu 6.06 LTS installed with NVidia 3D acceleration working fine with nvidia-glx driver. Then I've decided to install the 7.04 Feisty Fawn, so, I formatted my partition and install it. After this, I installed again the nvidia-glx driver, exactly the same way that I did with 6.06 LTS version, but didn't work properly. X server loads the driver, however, in the Gnome, many redraw problems occurs, mostly when the applications contains scrollable areas, like in text processors, for example. I've try to download the proper driver at NVidia's website, but the situation getting worse... the x server hangs on startup and shows a message that the nvidia module cannot be loaded. This is my configuration (pretty old, ok?): Athlon XP 2400+ Motherboard ASUS A7N266-VM (chipset nForce2 with audio, video and network integrated) 1 Gb RAM DDR HD 40 Gb IDE ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nvidia-glx working on 6.06, but don't on 7.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 85449] Re: [feisty] nvidia-glx 1.0.9xxx causes graphical glitches, artifacts and random system crashes on an integrated GeForce2 MX
Sorry to all developers, but I have to disagree that is a nvidia-glx driver bug. I explain: this driver works pretty fine on Ubuntu 6.06 (I'm using it now), but don't works only in Feisty Fawn... I've opened a new bug report a few minutes exactly about this issue. There some difference between 6.06 and 7.04 that is causing this problem with some NVidia's video cards. I have a ASUS A7N266-VM motherboard with nForce 2 chipset (with a GeForce2 MX integrated) and I'm having the same problem: glitches, artifacts and random system crashes reported in this bug, but only in Feisty. Previous versions, I repeat, works fine. Thanks a lot. -- [feisty] nvidia-glx 1.0.9xxx causes graphical glitches, artifacts and random system crashes on an integrated GeForce2 MX https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/85449 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
